A Day of Events - Thoughts/Requests/Questions

What do you all think of this idea? Is there any specific events you would like to see being hosted? Anyone have any questions about it?

No requesting prizes, their already all decided ;P.

It'd be nice to have some sort of event on CTF, it's been a good while since people have played there.

I say, host a team match. Pick 5 of the best players and pit them against the server on Deathmatch, if you kill the person you get an event weapon. If no one kills one of the 5 players (either time runs out or they win) then that person gets the event weapon (or whatever.)

Theres a similar event to that, "Hunt Me!" where basically I get Snowrace boost and limit their weapons. On Events day I might do Chaingun/Plasmasabre Only (on Gwars), that'd be kinda fun XD.

I wouldn't trust the 5 players to tell me the truth about who killed them.

Between events will be team matches. The schedule will be posted (on the other thread) when its completed and each event has a hoster.

I don't know if ET's are allowed to ask for particular events (I'm hoping it is allowed because I want to play in a mortar + icecanon round) but I would like a mortar and icecanon round on Iricia. No combatknife.

It is stickied.

Providing it recieves the proper announcement it will be a large event. If its not advertised then it won't be good.

I've already done whats neccessary to get it up on F8 Event list thing. I've also sudgested the NPC-Server message should say
"August 30th! Day of Events! Graal Zone!" Other then just a big "Graal Zone" logo. Thats as much as I can do other then massing it on Zone.

I haven't locked you in a long time, and if I have it was jokingly and you were unlocked moments later.
Theres more that can be done other then f8 as well. And it'll be on f8 eventually.

F8 is prob the BEST way to get players. Everyone that logs on graal has to read/see that shiz before going to a server.

Check out the new login message from NPC-Server. F8 will be updated soon as well.

I've been told Global PMs (sent to all of Graal) with invitations to the events can be sent on the day itself as well.

It's kinda bad.. That legend is hiring thing is not blocking out most of the Zone Events Day Info.Most people prob won't bother to scroll down and read it.

I am not able to speak for Pheet, but I think Pheet was asking if the weapon given in the day of events is going to be permanent. I would guess the answer to that would be no.

It was a pretty successful day. The morning went perfect, and the evening the same. A few mess ups in the afternoon (when I logged -_-) that threw things off schedule but they turned out okay.
The playercount was around 40+ all day (that I seen), and for a solid couple hours was 65+. Very nice ;D.

Thanks to all the ETs who assisted in hosted, Dante for managing things when he got on and Desear for re-downloading graal and coming back to host

XD good thing most disagree with you :].

3 events had problems, and in 2 of those 3 events it was because of the stupidity of the players, so I'm told. Seeing as the event day lasted..... 11 hours and only about 2-3 hours were messy, I'd say it was a successful day

I'm also willing to bet, baptistuta didn't win any prizes
