Petition to Revive GK

We, the GK community, feel that Tig deserves a chance to manage the server due to the ammount of caring and effort he has put in to trying to help GK for years. Recently there hasn't been much completed work, but we also feel that it's because of the fact that there is no body around to motivate each other. If you look at how dead GK is, there is absolutely nothing to loose in doing this.

It's just a known fact allready that many people are against the current management of GK. This will only show others that as well. Though I do not entirely agree with Tig being Manager or the only person to do things to GK. I feel that something else needs to be done anyways before there really is nothing to return to.

I feel Tig should become manager, because there really isnt anybody else that has the capabilities he has. He has worked with Graal for a LONG time, and knows whats up and how to do stuff. Yes he can be an ass sometimes, but the stuff he says when he is being an ass are all true...

I find it funny you use the term revival as a synonym for Tig. I have no idea of the skills of Tig or even the situation on GK... but if you really want to put a poll up for management, maybe you should be a little more subtle about your bias.

There is no guarantee that Tig will revive GK, so you shouldn't post one thing in the title(petition to revive GK), then post a completely different matter in the actual thread(Tig for manager).

Just for structural purposes, it makes sense;

But in reality, and to win the on-going battle, it shouldn't be focused on Tig even if he is the best candidate for GK-management. If we're saying "Hire Tig for manager", and the administration doesn't want him, they'll just say "Tig won't be admin because (whatever reason they dont like him)". But if we say "we need new management", they can't give an argument as easily. The last "decent" argument they had was Bjorn graduating or something. After that, all they can do is continue to ignore our "Save GK!" discussions. Just don't give them an argument to win, or Sam will just close the thread like last time saying "Tig will not be admin yet".

Well sorry to pipe up but for someone who cares about GK a lot tigs pretty no go on kingdoms Debug. The only day i really seen him on was yesterday(and that was on GK).

As for you Satain. Don't threaten to have someone banned from the server for you may find that its you who gets that treatment if the wrong manager is brought in.

By wrong manager..i mean one that you didn't want. Frankly its his right to ask a question...all you have to do is choose to ignore it or not and apparently you don't want to. Everytime I login I see you idling in your house on forest. or your paused on ur other account like yesterday.

I don't know if Pojo is doing it to bug you or what but you could just ignore it and continue on idling in your house on forest.

What can he do on debug? When was the last time Bjorn has said "I'm at your beck and call!" and actually shown up to send things to the main server? I know I've asked him several times about the new town on Zormite, just to look at it, and he's never replied, I can only imagine his responses to Tig. Why should Tig be wasting time on debug if the current management won't allow him to actually do anything?

Sure, why not.

But, he should be monitored and be placed under a probationary management position for a few months. This would mean that he and whatever team he has needs to keep active, and self motivated as well as be productive during that time.

He'd kinda be a trial manager for a few months, and then pending a final review he would be made the permanent manager. Thats how most companies do things now adays.

Who says just because you don't see me on debug means I'm never on or I don't care about GK? The only day I've really seen you on was yesterday, but I can bet you've been on Zone. My point being: Just because a pet runs away doesn't mean you stop missing it. The fact that each of these "revive GK" threads get stupendous amounts of replies shows me that the GK community is still very much so alive, and is still able to be rescued.

I originally said I would not vote because I didn't really want it public.

I had also posted later, which I deleted for some reason, that I decided to vote that GK needed new management, but that I didn't really want to say whether or not I though you would make a good manager.

It is quite obvious that GK needs new management; and yes, GK does need you very much as a scripter. As to whether or not I think you would make a good manager, I'd rather keep private unless you'd rather I PM you it?

even though theres no stephen there, i voted for tig.

No, I didn't support björns work in the end, either, but afaik björn is already gone and stefan uploading updates to GK now, so where is the problem with that.

I have no comment on the subject because I know Tig would make a great manager for GK but Bjorn is already a great manager and I don't see why Bjorn should be replaced if he's doing a good job. Although Bjorn is very busy and It would be good to at least of an assistant manager to help.

That's grounds for having a replacement. If he's manager, it's his job to be here, not brush Gk aside because he has other business.

Bjorn may be quitting GK development, from what he tells me he is. Wether or not he changes his mind is another story. Maybe we should consider this thread now anyways.

GK is hard for management. You don't get Bjorn place for see it. HE is really busy but its true GK need more staff but bjorn want keep powerfull ?
