Bell, the New PWA?

Anyway, i guess Bell is the new PWA, although i didn't get to check the Special/Admin guildlist yet. Erm, well congratulations from me, Bell.

I'm really not a new user, I've been on graal for 6 years with my nikomi946 account. Ibonic and I just felt that me using the account Bell would make it easier for players to find me when they needed to. Its a much easier account name to remember. Granted, I don't post much on the forums but I am here almost daily. I apologize if this has confused any of you.

I dont mean to be blunt but someone has to say something, i dont think most of us are confused at who you are really, so much as how this came about happening?

Silly choice in my opinion, as you didn't make it your business to associate yourself with members of the forums, or on other servers other than classic.

It's just another one of those "friends admins get the jobs" instead of finding someone legitimate.

How can you define a legitimate person for such a job? Atleast the admins may know if the friends can do the job adaquately.

They get too cushy in the job.. and either get bored fast, or get fired.

Since when was Houdini the 'Head Playerworld Administrator'? I think that time when he was posting his "changes" he just assumed.

As for Bell being a Classic player, well I'm actually really glad about that. It has nearly always been the p2p players who have assumed positions in Graal (those who played Graal2001, Kingdoms, Zone) and it is rare to see someone come out from servers that (it seems) the administration doesn't care about anymore, and I'm glad this has.

Hmm.. Vulcan rarely posts, Ibonic almost never posts, CheeToS rarely steers out into topics that are generic/he doesn't specialise in, so really, what's the difference? Yeah she's a new Playerworld Administrator, a lot of players don't know her, but a lot of players do.

If you look at any other online game, you'll never see any staff talking, it keeps things less personal and I think Graal might have failed on that level, so really we're lucky we even have names to associate with.

Not too long ago almost ALL of the globals came from Classic. But I guess it's fair to say that now, since it really does seem like Classic has fallen from its place of glory and seems to be fairly neglected.

Congratulations, even though I havn't a clue who you are, which isn't exactly a good thing since it's always nice to have people joining the team that are at least known by the majority of the people (doesn't have to be in a good way, but at least known).

Nonetheless, I will not draw any conclusions just yet and will expect the worst and hope for the best, which is the only way to go without being left disappointed in the end!

When I think about it, it doesn't even matter. PWA have pretty much become useless and half the time no one calls upon them for help or any needs. In fact if you receive assistance from a PWA they are probably your friend.

Not saying Bell is going to be this way, just saying that it doesn't really matter good or bad who the higher ups choose as long as they don't abuse their rights.

Though on the other note it might have been better to higher someone who had a good relationship with the graal community and not just some person whos pretty much stayed on a server with a very low portion of graal players.

Bell is one of the most mature, levelheaded, and logical people you will ever meet on graal. I do believe one of her most enduring traits is her incredibly good judgement, which fits in perfectly with her position now.

I did not know popularity made you better at a job; I thought it was skill. Silly me!

It all has to do with networking. It seems as if a person has great networking ability on Graal by playing the popular servers or hanging around the more popular people/globlal staff then they should fit in well. If they play some craptastic or obscure server then they aren't worthy of the position.

At least that's what I get from some of these replies.

So you are saying what qualifies you for PWA is "fitting in" and "being popular", instead of actually being capable of doing the job? That might be the dumbest concept ever. I thought this was common sense, but I guess I will have to put it blunty. The one who is qualified for the job is the one who can handle it and perform its functions correctly (note the word qualified).
