I think stefan and björn should really think about this.

Currently gk is no reason to get a new gold account anyways, its much too hard to get started if you have no friends with good items and cash/dias.

Well its up to them if they do or don't but i would at least like a page to come up on graalonline that explains what a trial account is and the perks of having a p2p.

I also think they should be a in game warning to this aswell. Most people don't read the home page. They'll just download and play.

Yeah, perhaps when they log on or before they log off they get a message saying that they cant keep the items they have untill they upgrade their account, then a link to the website where is explains the benefits of having a p2p account

We're all acting like Stefans financial advisors here. We're telling him ways to make more money and get more people to upgrade.

When i first started playing graal (not on this account) i really liked the newbie island, it was more fun and it give you more of a look at what graal kingdoms will be like. but now you can't do half the things that you was able to do before as a trial.

I vote for newbie island back

It maybe "easier and faster" but if the idea that Bjorn is talking about will make the server better why not wait for it.

It might solve the whole problem of trials. Well, I hope it does but it's not up to me so not only you als I have to wait until I get more informations about it.
If it doesn't happen well, we can still do the other thing.

Not really. Sorry folks, but you all should remember the days when you start playing GK. It's not easy to find out what to do and so on.
I think it would be much better to set up an assistance guild for new members instead of attacking them or sitting in trade room and being bored and lazy.

I think that will help most of the people who have just started just stand around asking for items, but when i started i got all my gear myself and worked hard for it. But now people are lazy when they start.

well, this post brings back memories from the thread about helping noobies some time ago. (I think it was sam's thread)

maybe people give too much to the newer players and make them lazy. I agree, and participate, in helping out and teaching new players. but, they don't understand the time and effort this game takes if you just give them the gear they need. Make them work for it some. Let them figure out if they have the patience it takes to play gk... that is what this game is all about PATIENCE lol

I like this but you haven't really been around them like us on days have. if you don't give them something they move onto someone else and so on until someone gives them something then they do it all over again or if you refuse swear at you and just keep going.

Trial Island was DA BOMB for trials! Plus when I was a trial, me and my friend were chatting, and then he went to the main land, and I couldn't, and that made me upgrade to Gold (I also got infinite Class O.O). BRING BACK TRIAL ISLAND!
P.S. I hate when those trials tell us to give them stuff xD

Thats not true, Bjorn has seen this thread and he says hes working on something which may solve this problem. If he gets what hes working on done and it doesnt solve this problem i'm sure he will reconsider. We should just be thankful that he is working on something and trying to improve GK

Hopefully they don't prove you wrong. This has been in plan for a while now. If it isn't released soon(not rushing anybody) It isn't going to fix the current situation.

Let me tell you about my experience with the trial island and why it made me play.

I started out on a beach and some robot people come up to me and tell me that they will help me out. I'm like "Hahaha cute lil' NPC's helping me up." Then they tell you how to mine, craft, what items are and what stuff does. They give you a basic interaction with the game directly instead of other players and give you a general idea of what is valuable and what the span is of what could possibly happen here.

I mean really, Graal Kingdoms covers it all. You could mine, craft, build up any skill tree, there are no class restrictions, no item bars (requirements for carrying a weapon), you could go fishing, you could make bread, make perfumes, grow flora AND fauna, you could raise an army of monsters, you could shoot fireballs and lightning, you could follow a god, you could learn to disarm traps, you could build battleships and blimps, you could do arena battles, you could use alchemy, you could change clothes and faces, you could wear masks and capes, you could sell diamonds, you could build houses and castle type fortifications, you could build weapons, race carts, build mining carts and do expeditions of mining, fight giant monsters and underground beasts, ride horses, play minigames, gather wood, and there are of course five kingdoms that have their own islands, leaders and rules.

When a beginner starts a game like that then WHAM, you are like, "Where the hell do I sign up!?" When another player is around you will ask him where the mines are and how to get something done.

That segregates the old and new players very far apart, it is so sad. You will find yourself avoiding players with names that are not in gold letters, walking around groups of people asking for pickaxes or wands, avoiding confrontations in the tradehouse with people asking where to get money.

It is truly out of hand. I would not want to play if a cool looking player like me just walked by instead of hanging out for a minute. I truly believe myself to be one of the most selfless players on this server but I DO confess that I often refuse the help of players without gold accounts. It really is a shame to have that island taken away.

What made YOU pay for gold and stay with the kingdoms server? Newbie island won me.

A Large popup should be thrown into any trial members window before they leave that start house explaining to them their limitations as a trail member, and where to become a gold member as a button they can click on. Also a close button for this window would be needed.

A second feature/addon should be some basic starting armour for them to use, like worn leather armour, to atleast keep them safe enough to attack a shell bomy with some chance of winning. As it is right now they have to gang beat (more then 2 people) a shell bomy to actually kill it.

I think it would be nice for them to atleast have some partial save feature, so they do not have to ask for a weapon 300 times. Strict limitations of level 3 and no higher (or whatever you think is best) and not being able to leave Bomboria, would make more sense to me. Though the level resitrction isn't required, but for old players that have alot of items on a second account could atleast regain their items then and not really have to worry about it much more. For a level restriction you could put in that unless you have gold time you just cannot gain anymore experience after level 5, that is, until you upgrade your account again.

It's nice you all have alot of ideas what to do with trials, but as far as I know is there a decision made by the management of Graal. They will tell you what will happen when the time has come.

here's a suggestion... If your so annoyed by the trial players... instead of moving them. why don't you people hang out somewhere else until this gets fixed? Say hirathia trade. Thats how i stopped the annoyingness of trials... just go somewhere else besides bomb.

Here is a good reason why we need something done. A trial came in asking for armor and now u will see the rest.

Here's a direct link. sorry if the pics messed up

I don't think having gold around them is helping them to get a gold account. I remember when i was first a trial myself and was on trial island. I think it was my 2nd or 3rd day. There was no gold members around and I finished everything and i wanted to goto the island they was on but i didn't have gold. That enticed me all that much more to buy a account. Why don't we do that. Entice them to get gold so they can talk with us. You can tell trials now to get a gold account and they are like "why should we when your here to give us stuff". I for one am sick of it..ur opinion?
Im glad someone else felt this way also. I dont mind helping people, but some of them have really just been asking to much, and getting in the way.

Thats a slight understatement. A few times i had a trial block the way in MMT just to get a weapon or they steal a item and u offer them one so they will return the other item to the rightful owner and they say they want the item ur offering first and u know they will just take the other one too

oh dear god yes >.< I remember trial island, and now that trials are in bomboria they ask me things... and i'm too nice to tell them to piss off, so i wind up explaining simple concepts to these people over and over again. It's better explaining it to a new member where the info actualy goes to some use, but trials never leave bomboria, so explaining what lords are and where to get horses is futile.
