Doomsday is dead

As long as Tifa is owner of Doomsday, the server will never go public ever again. I feel bad that the server dies on my birthday too.

Overview:

Some levels had gone missing from Doomsday while I was working on it. I told Tifa, and she takes everyones level rights for no apperent reason. So, being mad as I was that i lost a lot of work, I was mad and was very sarcastic in saying that she took level rights from me for no reason. So, she re-uploads the levels, and then says shes never comming back. We all get that kind of "what the hell?" mood, because she said that we were saying bad things about her when no one had said anything. We tell her that, and then she deiceds to kill the server forever, saying that she never wanted it up in the first place and that we were basically all selfish. So, Doomsday dies with that, and I'm never talking to tifa ever again.

It's really annoying - I was about 89% done with all the updates and getting everything done when this happens. If you want a huuuuge venting, go ahead and read my forums and have fun. As Cid said, theres swearing.

Tifa owns the server. Unfortuantely, the argument here becomes, does shelling out the hundred bucks or whatever to physically own the server give you the right to completely ignore the wants of your server's faithful? Apparently, in Tifa's perspective, the answer is yes.

I understand what you mean and I commend your efforts, but this type of thing is way too common, instead of remaking the server you should have made a new server inspired by the older one where you were the one in control and you could inspire other players to help you instead of having to rely on the previous manager who probably doesn't give a damn. If I were you I would keep trying to get through to her, no matter how thick headed she may seem.

I think we should infact try and keep one of the classic servers alive, does'nt matter if its not awesome, but it can easily be re-vamped.

I used to know Tifa really well under a different name, and lost contact with her. If you could possibly PM me or forum message me her AIM, and/or, MSN i could most probably sort things out with her and the server.

Trust me, first of all, shes impossibly hard to get a hold of. She just...sort of...appears occasionally and you can hope to get her attention. And we've all known her for years, I could have at one time claimed Tifa to be a very close friend of mine despite the fact that she lives in Australia and she doesn't listen to a word I or anyone else says.

1) Note the part some levels had gone missing. For the safety of my server i took level rights until i had it all sorted out. Excuse me was that so wrong? How is that removing them for no apparent reason?
2) Hiro's response was to go on his forums and abuse me calling me a female dog even after i explained and proved to him that i had only planned to remove these rights temporarily until i had it sorted out.
3) You allways knew i was never coming back per se. I paid to bring Doomsday back because Davio begged me to. The plan was he would run it i would be the silent owner so to speak logging on occasionally to say hi, see how things were going.
4) Your response to all this was to IP ban me off your forums. :P (oops!)

There can never be a 'quick' overview because it goes back a long way and to understand you need to know a fair bit so if you don't like long stories, don't read :P
Tifa came to Doomsday many years ago when Jubei, SkyKnight and Saga were around, she totally loved the server, learned everything about it then helped others anyway she can. She met a great guy who helped get her the position of FAQ Cadet and she logged on every single day working hard and getting promoted until the day came she was made FAQ Chief. I didn't get the job by kissing arse or sleeping with anyone, i got it for my sheer hard work. Logging on 16 hours a day in my obsession sure earned me that position.
The server changed Owners a few times. Sorry if i get it wrong it's been awhile now but if i remember rightly Jubei took complete ownership then passed it to Baraka who then passed it to N00b3Jin who then passed it on to me.
There were a lot of dedicated hard workers around who helped me a lot. Those that come to mind are Dameion, Agret, Unholy Paladin, Dusty, WarLord, Ultima, Roscket, Redeemer, Nate, Davio, Ajira, Cid and even Baraka came back to help out as did Jubei for a little while. I'm sure there were others and i'm sorry i don't remember you all but you know who you are <3.
We all worked hard trying to keep the great server going, but things happen. Dameion moved on as did Baraka and Jubei and Davio etc. Graal also moved on and decided to allow everyone to make their own servers. Suddenly Doomsday found itself with a minority staff as everyone went off finding better rights and making their own servers.
I have never claimed to be able to script, in fact i remember clearly stating that i wasn't sure i could be Owner because i couldn't script but i was told thats why i hire staff to script for me, but i could do other things and daily i was helping WarLord lay down the GFX for his mines that he was making for Doomsday. Why was the Owner doing this? Because there was nobody else around.
Things didn't improve. There were daily arguements with WarLord screaming that nobody was helping him which was true except for the fact that i was the only one doing the best i could laying GFX but i couldn't help him with scripting. Eventually he was removed for his abuse and he took his work with him so now Doomsday had nothing new to work on and a skeleton staff.
Because of all the changes with Graal Tifa was now officially the owner of Doomsday. With skeleton staff and nobody working, everyone wanting more rights more rights blah blah abuse scream rant rave, Tifa suffered daily stress until she felt she couldn't take it anymore and decided to close the server down. She talked to the people she trusted most and offered them the server to which they all refused. So it was closed. It went from being a legendary server to a dead one because of the changes in Graal and the greed of the people who went off to get more rights and make their own servers.
Tifa got over her obsession with Graal after many tears, after all she had been obsessed with it for years. So she moved on and kept the memories in her heart. Over time people began to email her about bringing it back and when she declined she was abused and sworn at, called names (Hiro was one of these people, I still have the emails). Then Davio who had been very close to Tifa (if you think dirty then thats your bad luck) begged her to bring it back for him so he could relive the great memories again, and she gave in.
She brought a server, put the levels on it, made Davio manager and as stated above made the plan that he would bring it back and she would just be a silent owner. Life goes on, Davio found true love and never bothered with Graal again.
One day Tifa finds these forums (not the one in Cid's and Hiro's sig) and logs on to see all these posts about her. Imagine how you would feel after all this time to see these people saying "I hope Tifa is dead, Tifa deserves to die, Tifa is a female dog." It's all true, it was all there. Many posts and arguements later they beg me to let them bring it back again. Of course me being the person i am give in yet again and for that, this is what i get.

I didn't ask to be the last Owner/Manager of Doomsday but guess what, there was nobody else around when i closed it down. Where were you Cid? Where was everyone else for that matter? Were you there helping me? I was the last Owner/Manager and nothing will change that. I've ignored the faithful? Faithful who, oh you mean those ones on the old DD forums Hiro had that wished i was dead and were talking crap about me when i had done nothing but brought a server for Davio to revive DD? Here's the deal Tif, you decided to be the last owner/manager, you decided it yourself. You could have found a new manager/owner if you wanted, but you decided that your "love" for the server could never ever ever be matched by anyone, therefore no one could ever keep the server alive. To be honest, heres what I think you should do. Make a decision finally, either give the server away to those that will put it up and make it work, or stick the backups on an external hardrive, unplug it, stick it in the closet, and forget it ever existed. Then close your account at graal, and delete the exe. If you want to really make it work, go and speed hack zone or something and get yourself a nice IP ban to stop the "addiction". Stop torturing us by pretending like you're going to give it a chance and then screwing us over at the last minute.

You get me so wrong, I don't act like I know everything, but to act like I know nothing is plain ignorant. I was a part time player, and I still actively talked to many different people on doomsday including you! I'm flattered you remember the personal stuff about my life, and really, truly, I promise you that you are still a person very dear to my heart and very important to my past...especially in terms of graal. I don't dislike you, in fact I've always thought you were a great and dedicated person, I just can't..for the life of me...agree with your decisions in terms of the fate of DD post-shutdown...

You seem to think that...I don't know what you think to be honest. You have done this how many times now? given the server to someone to fix and then stonewalled them at the last minute. I know you don't mean to do it and I know you aren't doing it maliciously. But none the less, it happens. Its almost 2 AM here and I've gotta get to bed, plus I don't think this is the place for this discussion. I did it once. I offered DD to the people i trusted, they refused, i closed it down. Davio begged me to bring it back so i did. He left, i made UP Manager, he left. Hiro worked on things i never asked him to.

I'm not here to critisize, so don't take this the wrong way as you have mistakenly before

If you ask me, it's all a matter of mistrust. I think in Hiro's perspective, you don't give him the full trust as you would to Davio or UP due to whatever reasons, and he knows this, which makes him question about the trust in how far you would go with the reconstruction. And when something happens such as level rights being taken away, he thinks of that mistrust and blows up.

You know what's funny? I gave him NC at his request, and when i heard that DD had been taken off hosted and levels had disappeared i log on and do what i think is best and get abused for it, then i'm expective to kiss and make up. I trusted him enough to give him NC yet everytime i logged on there was nothing new. So he IP bans me *wink* and writes up this nasty little site about my fiance and me and Graal and everyone else he hates. I did bring back DD, i paid for it with my own money, i made Davio Manager, when he left i made UP Manager, when he left Hiro worked on it, and for that he insults me and my fiance. Please for the love of God leave DD dead once and for all. I grow weary of this. I gave him a chance. It's over.
