You provided reasons why you don't like the server. If the server were dead, then those reasons could possibly serve as an explanation as to why the server died. However, you failed to establish that the server is dead to begin with. As Damix noted, the server isn't dead as it continues to maintain a considerable playerbase.

yes googi, but why dont they ever introduce a new way to get money thats easy. Thats one reason why gral is going down the hill. Because it is to damn hard to get diamonds, it is rediculusly hard to get good items. like i have been trying to get a KJ shield for over 10 months, it took my friend 3 days to get from when he started, WTF IS GOING ON HERE!!!!!

That would be a bad idea. At best, the players would just abandon diamonds as a currency and switch to something else like when plat was overinflated. At worst, you cause permanent inflation that would be very difficult to reverse without a reset.

Your friend is probably just a better wheeler and dealer then you. Diamonds are not that hard to get, but you do have to work to get them. The problem isn't the difficulty of getting diamonds or plat, the problem is the fact that sellers corner markets and then inflate the prices to unreasonable amounts. Something that is 100 diamonds is sort of reasonable...selling an item for 1100 diamonds is not. I don't care how rare the item is, that's ridiculous and its single handedly inflating the price of the diamond and the item itself.

GK is still going downhill from lack of good management. Same goes for Zone. A group of ~10 on and off unpaid volunteer staff cannot handle and keep Graal Kingdoms well maintained at all times. Thus bringing the result we have now.

There are still problems and projects that have been lingering around for years...

GK lacks of new things that's true. But it also lacks in fixing old problems we still have. Perhaps when we can begin with debugging and correct / improve some things it's a good start. I see many suggestions in the forum and also some never fixed bugs. When these things are done we can think about new monsters, items quests aso.

See, thats the probelm sam, even though one problem is fixed, another problem is made just as soon. So why dont we have somebody working on items, weapons, monsters, ect. and some other people working on bugs?!?!
I can do some weapons and stuff, im experienced enough, but i dont make them, because bjorn and ZH say they suck, and they dont. So if we could get somebody to do that, it would be awesome!

what to level for? x-x everybody quit. wow ima go pk lvl 8 player cause those are the only still playing O.o and really the old times where strength was important are really over. that's why i decided to get rid of my stuff and those days won't come back as it seems. maybe some of you remember when markb and nychris played. those were big days on gk because there was actually something to work for. to beat the enemy but what's now? i need lvl 7 in the worst case if i want to beat a shell bomy with fists and that's all you can reach now as it seems. and the worst is that the new player can't even get items which are rare x-x i don't get the point anymore. there needs to be done something as sam just said. (new stuff, new monsters, quests etc.)

This is superbly true, and true for most video games. I don't know why the players always seek to get involved in the larger issues.

I've played games before that had problems, but I didn't go, "OH LET'S NAG NAG NAG. WASTE OUR TIME MAKING SUGGESTIONS, AND OTHERWISE APPEAR NEGATIVE. THEN WE SHOULD QUESTION WHY WE'RE EVEN INVOLVED IN THE FIRST PLACE."

I just acknowledge the problems and play within the realm I paid to play in. You can still enjoy a game if it has problems. But whatever, that's just how I feel - I've only moderated a few forums, so my opinion isn't that worldly.

BUT, there are no games out there even comarable to GK's bugs. Also, we have 1000+ suggestion threads, and name just one that has made it into the game.

Here are a few things that makes people want to "NAG NAG" and waste their time.

1) 3/4 of the spells are either useless or doesn't have GFX/doesn't work.
2) There are what, 16 types of monsters max? Why have Turn Undead? There is like 1 of those 16 that are undead, and those are hardly anywhere to be found. Whats the hard thing in making a Undead Bomy or something?
3) There is absolutely NO advantages of becoming a priest instead of a fighter, other than the free prayer scroll and two start spells. The same goes for a mage.
4) What exactly is the goal of the game? To get level 110 and have the "leetest" items? Well, maybe you find that fun untill you are level 110. After that all you can do is participate in events, duel, or sit around in Bomboria trade if none of this happens.

Thats four reasons for you.

1. Agreed.
2. Monsters are being worked on, its just taking a while.
3. And likewise there are no advantages to becoming a warrior or barbarian, you just start with 2 other skills... what are you getting at?
4. I'm lvl 110 and I do much more then that?

Or, if you're only referring to Graal Kingdoms,
Multiple story playerhouses are a good example. And how about the graphics people develop for the shields and such, those are also being added.

1) Don't agree maybe you don't know the sense of some, that doesn't mean these are useless.

2) A spell must work on how much monsters to be not useless? What do you know about the history of this spell?

3) I am a priest and chose it because it matched with my role I wanted to play in the game...

4) Amusement, fun, making friends, join kindred spirit...

Well i think youre the only person thinking that a lot of spells aren't useless. Make a poll, i mean, why not?

And by the priest thing, yes, it matches if you RP, but how many does? I do too, but not many does.

'Scuse me, Schlurf, but Stevsen has very valid points. Your replies are somewhat flaky. 'Kindred Spirit?' C'mon. I'm sure you can do better than that.

Sorry, but I'd like to be on a GK that's more engaging than simply, "amusing."

It's okay to have a different points of view. And also to have different reasons to play a game. I posted some of mine. We all know that there are useless stuff like spells prayers, rings and sometimes also players . I don't think that GK have to raise a claim being perfect.
But Draenin open and above board: you was member of the RP team. You have noticed that it is not always possible to change things in some weeks. It's a progressive junction. Changing things needs time, alot of time.

I know I've only got about 300 hours in GK, but I've got about 25-30 spells right now and every one of them has a working GFX...Is it possible that I have been the statistical curve and have kept all of my spells within that 1 quarter that "work"?

I don't know how many spells you know of all we have on GK. Your account has less than 30 online hours, if you have all exisiting spells, count again all without GFX and you will agree that your allegation is wrong.
Otherwise your filnamecache in the graal directory is very old. In that case delete it offline and you will get the actual one.

Well, i played in 2004 too, but at that time GK seemed more active and it seemed like the staff were working on it.

Note, this was with another account. Can't remember the name though something with D and some X'es and stuff :S.

Anyway, whats this filenamecache you speak of? Maybe thats the problem i have.. :O

I know that a change in the way graalians behave will not happen overnight, but the ultimate way to cure it all is to give people something to do.

Yeah, i agree, but it seems the 1000+ suggestions aren't enough for the staff to do something.

Oh, how thoroughly your exaggerated statements irritate me. If you continue I will prune your posts accordingly.

Speak truthfully and factually or do not speak at all.

Look at Suggestions and then look at threads. Count the numbers. I may not know what the staff are doing, but i'm telling you how it seems for me, and maybe some others. When was the last actually helping upgrade?

1.) You're assuming every post is a suggestion
2.) You're assuming none of the suggestions have been taken into consideration.
3.) You're assuming that it's not possible that some of the posts are simply in agreeance with a suggestion, or simple spam.

Seriously.

Seriously.

The things being fixed right now, I'm afraid, will not really change anything. A lot of them seem more like pet projects than anything else.
