So, I hear that V4 is going to be pretty rockin'.
I remember that one of the newer versions of V4 was blue, though, and I thought Graal was /always/ green.

Is there a way to turn 3D lights off? Cuz liek on GK its always dark with G4.

You cant turn off lighting effects, because some people complain that they cant see other people and what not, so stefan just made it so lighting effects are always on WITHOUT lag

my only beef with it is that there is absolutely no particle engine documentation

Light effects turned permanently on? Great. Now things like blinding scripts can be put into place without the chances of someone resizing GFX or turning off lights.

You know. GK is supposed to be that way. Athmosphere and all. Turning off lights ruins it.

Yes, and if a server does that they aren't going to keep many players very long. It's not a big deal.

Rick is right, it ruins the atmosphere to turn off the light effects. I've been waiting for the light effects to be enabled on all of Graal for the longest time. It kills the entire point of day/night if people can just turn off the night. Now since it doesn't lag as much clientside, it shouldn't be a problem for people on bad computers.

Now things like player shadows and object shadows and more can be done. If the playerworld/server wants, they can always make their own custom options to disable certain effects and stuff.

Here I am sitting at my cousin's computer in Houston, reading about v4, and I can't play because of some stupid Hurricane.
I read what Stefan put about v4, and it sounds awesome.
