Astri was very xenophobic and racist. Most of the elfs were rather killed or imprisioned.
How to fix... have it where the old woman just ignored your elf side, ergo hiding you.
I suppose I should of known that.. the latter would be to simply change that sentence altogather, and slowly lead up to the "defeat" of Astri, or however it evolved.
