Dante, roleplaying rules?
When you say "no RPing other peoples' characters" do you mean not at all, or just not in a potentially harmful way? Practical example:
Joe and Jim are both RPing and the story comes to a point where they have a conversation. Is Joe permitted to provide Jim's character's speech, provided he does it accurately? Otherwise simple encounters would take hours, or days even. I've been a member of a roleplaying board for about a year now, and our only real rules are:
1) No godmodding or silly unrealism.
2) No making other players look stupid.
3) No spoiling other players' plans.
Aside from that, anyone is allowed to send the storyline any way they want, and roleplay anyone else's characters. It seems to work and we've had some really good plots moving before. Mutual respect keeps everybody happy. |
