I think he means to imply that you got the job by whining for it. Because, you know, a girl who does her work quickly and efficiently would never get a job fairly. You must have been cheating. It's the only way.

Just once I'd like to get through a day without someone confusing luck and corruption with skill and dedication...just one day, is that too much to ask?
