A new way of rolling stats?

I don't know about you guys. But I'm sick and tired of rolling countless hours just for somet stats. Maybe there should be a new way?

I was thinking that you would roll for a total amount of "Points". And those points could be distributed among your stats. (Of course there would be a limit)

What do you guys think?
