PlayerKilling has never really been done right on Graal. Back in the early days of Classic was probably the closest to actual PKing.
A player kill in an rpg style game like Graal, should have a lot more to it. Not just "I shoot you with an arrow while you're fighting someone else and you respawn and kill me" That isn't a very good method of playerkilling.
The thing I hate about most Graal pking is that when you kill someone, they respawn and kill you. If you run from them after killing them once, they call you a coward. Does this make sense? You just battled them to the death and won, then they come back from out of nowhere to attack you with your .5 health left.
When you kill someone it should be a big deal. There should be a rating for playerkilling based on what weapon you use. Like if you use bombs to kill a group of pkers, you shouldn't get a good rating increase that you would killing them with a sword. When the player dies, they shouldn't respawn less than a level away and kill you right back. It completely defeats the purpose.
PKing should be more like real battles. You approach your enemy when you see them alone and you battle one on one to the death. When one player dies, the other can't fight that player again for a while. There could be a "shame" factor. As in you are ashamed to fight him again so soon because he laid the smackdown the last time you fought. Would make things more interesting. |
