I think a some of you are getting confused...the lifetime access is for classic and playerworlds...you'll have to continue to pay a monthly rate for 2k1 and 2k2....For those that haven't upgraded since 2k1 came out or those that create new accounts can pay $15 for the lifetime access, or pay the monthly fee and get lifetime access
plus access to 2k1 and 2k2.
As for playerworlds, unixmad said all restrictions will be removed which means even free servers will probably be allowed to use the p2p-only commands and possibly get an NPC server.
But all of this is my interpretation so take it with a grain of salt
