It's not the design, it's the style that doesn't sit right. Straighten all the edges up and keep the outline 1px and it's all sweet. Otherwise it sticks out like a sore thumb.
It's a WIP -- a sketch.
And no... I can't say I've seen any lamp posts that look like that.
