As for the streetlights has anyone actually been outside of their room in the last decade? Street lights generally have a look similar to elks design, barring of course the wires.
It's not the design, it's the style that doesn't sit right. Straighten all the edges up and keep the outline 1px and it's all sweet. Otherwise it sticks out like a sore thumb.
