The wiki is a really inefficent method for documentation, for several reasons.
- It's incredibly hard to find stuff. For example, searching for "findNPC" does not show "findNPCByID", but searching for "findNPCByID" does. Perhaps search options could be adjusted?
- You have to have a Gold subscription to update it. This is crazy. It would be better to allow classic accounts as well (or those who have upgraded in the past), and simply ban those who cause trouble. There's no reason I should have to renew my gold subscription to post some news about a classic server.
- It's not organized at all. It's hard to find exactly what you want. For example, if I want to find a list of player functions, I have to search exactly for "TServerPlayer". For a list of overall serverside functions, I have to search for some oddly-named page.
- There is no "index", except for a listing of every single page. There should be an easy way to see a list of all the worlds, and a way to jump to them (instead of looking under World/* in the "Bible Index")
- It contains information that /scripthelp (RC command) has, and misses some that the command has. These should somehow be integrated, or there should be a way to access /scripthelp from the site.
- The wiki looks really bad on Safari (Mac) and occasionaly Firefox. Probably a template thing.
- The name "Graal Bible" is unrepresentative of the content it contains.
I think it would be best to find a better way to document information, especially scripting information. There are probably content management systems (CMS) made specifically for this purpose. If not, there are several website that offer this.
Some of these things could also be fixed by just changing the current wiki.
