I've found people exploiting some glitches with the sniper rifle, one being with the hotkeys. The player holds down their mouse over a player, equips the rifle by pressing the assigned hotkey, and hits them for 50 damage with a second delay. They can do this in the middle of combat, the shot firing simultaneously with the screen switching to scoped view, allowing the sniper to shoot his or her target with a full view before he or she loses that capability.

Another thing is fire rate. Certain weapons, mainly ones that are weak and fire rapidly, actually make the sniper shoot their target even faster when being attacked by them. Since the sniper rifle can kill anybody in two hits, this is a major exploit when trying to kill snipers with whatever means you have at hand. I've also seen this effect happen with the plasmasabre, when I fight one with weapons that attack rapidly, but don't necessarily "lame" and stun the target.
