Why euro?

I wasn't sure if this could go here but I use my innishative for once...

I was just wondeirng what other peoples opinion on the new Euro system. My personal opinion is that its pretty stupid because it costs people more money. (Only costs me an extra £10 but to americans its round about $20)

Also the Euro is not as recognised as the dollar so most people can relate better to the dollar than the euro. (For example I know that for £1 you get round about $2)

Anyways I was just wondering what all you thought of this,
