Gothic Vampire Times

Hello fellow Graal Developers.

To keep things relatively brief, I will explain how this will go down.

Myself and a few school friends are developing a Graal Server for a GRADE, meaning we are not interested in acquiring a server to let it go to waste.

That being said, our server is already purchased.

As you can imagine, it would seem that a completed GraalOnline Playerworld in the course of a school year would be strenuous, and indeed it will be. I honestly doubt we can finish if only myself and my two other project workers are working on it.

I am bringing my case to the GraalOnline developer community with a plea for assistance.

I am not looking for extremely dedicated staff members, as I believe the core formed by my team will be enough, but I am looking for a few exceptionally talented Artists, Tilers, and Programmers for a Graal Server that should be wide in scope.

So I digress to WHAT exactly the server is.

Let me take you back, shortly after the renaissance... Gothic architecture and artwork has reached its peak, along with the mythical vampires...

Instead of your typical man vs monster game, this will allow you to select either.

At the beginning of your adventure, you can select to be either a Vampire or Vampire Hunter (This is probably subject to change later on... I can only see positives from expansion). This is not the same as picking sides, as Vampires are not allies, and Vampire Hunters are competing fiercely.

Vampire Hunters work to earn prestige, while avoiding the bites of Vampires themselves, thus changing them to a vampire.

Vampire Hunters will find themselves under the employs of towns, inhabited by NPCs, who are quite fearful of the vampires lurking in their town's castle.

As Vampire Hunters gain prestige by successfully defending towns, larger towns will take notice of their growing prestige and contact them wishing for their services as defenders.

Vampire Hunters are also quite fearful of competition though, and have much to gain by slaughtering their enemy hunters.

Vampires cannot live without their sustenance of human blood, and must occasionally dwell into towns to draw the blood of NPC townsfolk, or of player Vampire Hunters.

Vampires cannot survive for more than a day without placing the bite on somebody, and the more blood drawn from nobility (typically the most protected), the more powerful a vampire becomes.

I wish I could go farther into the gameplay aspects, but they are still being discussed by myself and my project members.

If anyone is interested in applying to do any work, and I promise, ANY CONTRIBUTION, NO MATTER HOW SMALL, WILL BE VASTLY APPRECIATED.

My project members and myself are currently working on a custom tileset, so at this point in time, levels are of little value to us.

Regards,

Kevin Azite
