Disable Minimap

Is it possible to disable the minimap?
At the moment the minimap shows in inside areas when I do not want it too.
It is glitchy since logging into a room makes the minimap invisible, but entering a room or warping to a room shows the minimap for the last location you were in, which is confusing.
