Should the Graal3d project be scratched?

If I wanted to play a 3D game I would be paying $12-$15 a month for something that isn't being developed by a couple of german hobbiests. I play graal because I get to be involved in development, and I like pixel art. I can model, but I don't like to and I don't prefer it.

Furthermore, 3D games have a repeating history of being turned into eye-candy rather than having the staff focus on the gameplay and the features.

Hell, I play NetHack, that alone tells you I prefer gameplay over graphics.
