Desolation - Planet Idea

Intergalactic war, eh? So where's the war scene? Here.

Desolation is a ruined city-type map that will consist of fallen skyscrapers, risen streets and anything you can think of that you may see on an inter-city battlefield.


Vehicles

A few speed bikes at each main base, and one mech accessible to both teams in a more difficult to reach area to keep the fighting interesting and a focus on more than just accomplishing objectives. Turrets can be maintained on rooftops and collapsed structures. The possibility of wrecked cars with low hp, but can transport up to 3 people (the driver, gunner and a passenger) is also something to look forward to. This would, of course, lead to more work-- but Zone needs some more unique things.


Classes/Weapons

The classes and weapons of this battlefield will match that of Iricia-- as the style of the map and map mode is the same.


Terrain

Putting aside the open field feel of Iricia. This map will be more compact, and cover npcs will consist of destroyed objects (ex: vehicles, light posts, etc). This would give a more interesting objective and give more classes a chance on the battlefield. Each section of the city can be more beneficial to each class (ex: more open areas for quick classes, more closed in areas for slower but more powerful classes and a maze type area for land mines and grenades).


Overall, this map would take some time and a new tileset. But, keep in mind that I have many friends and some talents of my own to assist in development, Stefan.
