EDIT: Yeah so what we do is we dig up eggs and they have legs so they run away. Then we use the net to catch them. Once you have three or more you can trade them in for a max of three items from the easter shop (Moss Bow, Cowboy Hat, Egg Hat, Moon Shield, Green Cloak).

*sniffles* Bloody green cloak! I had my hopes up for a purple one. :*(
