more gmap problems

my gmap works fine in v2 but in v3 and v4 it blacks out all the spots i the player hasn't visited yet my gmap is as follows:

GRMAP001
WIDTH 45
HEIGHT 38
MAPIMG eden_nwmap.png
LOADFULLMAP

and i've tried adding NOAUTOMAPPING and when i add that the map doesn't even work at all. is this another v3/v4 bug?
