With a heavy heart...

Greetings, Era.

I, Ivar, the supervisor of the Miner's Union must bring news that will likely ruin your week.

It is with great sadness that I must inform you all that our Head Miner, Richard "Dyck" Terrance, has passed away this very day. Richard was a strong mang, and left behind two loving children and a semi-loving wife.

It's not secret that they were having marital issues, but they stuck it out until death did part them as it would part the waves of any ocean. You've likely heard that my wife, Stacy, has left me. Richard "Dyck" Terrance graciously allowed me to live in his apartment until I could find my land legs again. For you see, the ***** took my house.

And he lovingly cared for me as I found my way again, on the road again. Solo, yet not lonely. Afraid, but not startled. That is, until, we get in a fight and I tried to break my bottle over his head and then we both wound up in the hospital and tried to make amends but it was too late and then Dyck threw himself onto some explosive barrels and began beating on them with his crowbar until we were both engulfed in a fiery explosion straight from hell only I ended up surviving but Dyck obviously didn't otherwise we wouldn't be writing this long-winded eulogy now would we?

Dyck (1978-2010), you truly deserved your name.

~ Ivar, ~Leave of Absence~ *Hiatus* (Miners Union), formerly Ivar, *Supervisor* (Miners Union).

And finally, a message from our company's founder:
These mines are closed now while we grieve (Ivar is also emotionally compromised). They'll be opened again when I feel ready to lead again. Thank you for your time. You will not be compensated for any work done in the mines at this time.
- Dr. Claw, *Owner* (Miners Union).
