Dark Rival Dead

That's right.
Dark Rival is no more.
Why? I don't see a need for it anymore. Zodiac is headed in the same direction DR was, and lets face it. I was, for the most part, alone on it.
But rather than give up, I've decided to change the name of the server, and the content. Dark Rival is now known as Legend, however, it will not be anything like DR, or any other graal server to date.


The server would have a top down perspective. Players would move using the mouse to aim/point to the right direction, the up and down buttons to move, and the left and right buttons to strafe. It will have a real combat type of gameplay. The view would be so players could only see ahead of them, and could not see anyone behind them. It will simulate a ‘first person’ perspective.

It would be based in the near future, with a war between 4 nations. Players would be randomly divided up into teams, and would compete for money. Players get money by killing another player. They get some of the other player’s money, along with a constant amount. They can then use this money to buy more weapons, or ammo, or they may put it toward their team. The team with the most money at the end wins. The team with the most kills gets money added for each kill it has more than the second place team in terms of kills). If your team wins, your player gains exp. Otherwise, you don’t. Exp improves speed, aim, attack (for melee combat), defense, and other stats. These stats stay with the player, as well as most of the weapons you can buy (some are for that match only).

There will be a large variety of weapons, and each will have a main and secondary attack. You will be able to scroll through your weapons with a mouse wheel, or with a ‘Q’ menu. The player will start off with a simple Pistol, and melee attacks. They will be able to equip 2 melee weapons at a time, however these must be bought. (knives, katars, swords, beam swords, etc). Some weapons, such as the pistol, can be double equipped.

Players will have to decide if they want to spend their money, or use it to win the match. Because of this, there will be some strategy, and pressure from the team. There will also be a lo of skill involved, and an rpg system. It will be a unique, fun, and fast server, with combat, competitions, events (to break up the action), sparring, and a continuing exp and ranking system, along with a global competition for the most kills, and best rank.
