Graal 3, Linux and Sound

Well, for me, Graal tries to use /dev/dsp directly to make sound. But, if I want to use arts, Xine, or whatever, I have to close Graal before I can use sound in other programs.
Also, if /dev/dsp is not available, Graal freezes until you kill whatever's using it.
Could there be a command line option (like "graal -nosound") made so Graal just doesn't try to make sound at all, so I can use /dev/dsp with other things at the same time?
