Review Question

yeah i was wondering, i read in one of sparks threads that he had set two dates to be reviewed, but these were awhile ago.

If we want reviewed do we have to wait for more dates to be set or can we just contact a pwa to come and look?

And if they like it or have suggestions, would it move onto the next?

A while back he said something like he will be setting review dates and pw managers will have to contact him before the deadline to be reviewed if they want to go public.

Spark910 has a spectacular aura about
We are going to leave it until the end of the month/early next month for a full review to give playerworlds time to:

-Improve on suggestions if they have already have had an inspection
-Get upto a place to be inspected if they weren't ready before.

Might be a good idea to get one of the GST to look at your scripts to see if they "pass", that is the first thing I would do. Also if you want I can do an unoffical visit and make a few suggestions if you like.

I guess but i dont see why the GST must look at the scripts. I understand there is a certain way people would want scripts to operate. If the scripts arent coded in a certain way or conformed to the way the GST likes does that mean they "fail"?

And i may take you up on that visit soon

Yes, the GST makes sure the scripts aren't laggy and are secure. They have to give you a pass before we will.

You can ask any of the PWA for a visit to browse if they want when you're ready but official reviews aren't on the spot.

Ok well what things would be required to pass? The NPC Part should be too hard.

But as far as passing the PWA part what are the PWA looking for in the server? Uniqueness?

Quality of levels, GFX, content, jobs and Events. Things of this nature are things we look for. None of us on the Team judge the exact same on a PW because we are not clones of one another but we do look for basic things like I listed. Personally I don't have to like your Playerworld for me to pass it because I judge based on the potential it has not whether your particular taste is in agreement with mine or not. I may even hate it but if it is of good quality and has plenty for the players to do then it has potential to be a successful server and how I would judge it. Make sure you follow all the PW Rules or we will not pass you to be made public regardless of content.

These although listed as "Hosted requirements" are the Classic requirements, hosted will basically be the same just less will be required.

I guess i forgot to ask too, Does the owner with the Admin account need to be present? Or can a Manager who works with the Owner be there for the review if the owner is having problems?
