should i allow the contestents to use custom gfx with the level or not what do u think?

Instead of rating whether or not they have graphics in the level like "how good do the graphics look" rate it with the level as "How did they use the graphics in the level? Is it tasteful? Does it add, or take away from the level?" stuff like that...

He didn't say GFX were allowed either. I just assumed it was a level competition based on the level structure its self.. nto how pretty you can make it with GFX.

Are you a level maker? Or a newb? Gawd Shadow, people make graphics (ie: tileset) for levelmakers to use to make levels. We don't make our own graphics unless we can. Levelmaking isn't abut graphics, light effects or npcs.

Who said they had to be graphics that you made yourself? And light effects are a very important part of levels now adays... You don't hire level makers, then go and hire lighteffects/GFX placers to put the light effects/GFX in the level, the level maker places them where he/she sees fit to make the level more appealing.

Erh, I should clarify..

I like both levels, but since I can't really decide, I gave the upper hand to Shadowless because his use of graphics and light effects in his level made it look more unique and pretty.
