A.I.M Chat about Graal Forums

Don't think this is illegal..

"We" should make an AIM Chat room and discuss how great the Graal forums are including discussion on the great super mods, unixmad's awesome decisions, and anything else "we're allowed to say on the forum"

As long as it's not subversive, do whatever the hell you like. I'm neutral on the whole topic.

I doubt that will work... I doubt people will take turns talking, it will just be one mass of messages one after the other. And there will always be some jerk-wad who feels the need to spam room indefinatly...

Why would you even use AIM for such a thing? mIRC > AIM for conference type stuff.

To be honest, this is pointless. Anymore threads about the issues with moderators or the decisions of the administrators isn't going to be helped. There's only one thing left to do, and that is to contact Stefan, Stephane and unixmad directly instead of posting flame bait in the forum.

Your threads are only going to get locked or deleted anyway. Posting about an aim chat isn't going to help either, it's just going to rile people up to make more posts that are against the rules.

The posts being made AREN'T against the rules. Unixmad and the mods just don't like the posts and are tired of hearing us complain.

Obviously no one is going to stop you if you want to make something like this. Although, it would probably be a little easier talking over IRC. Well, you would have more control anyway.

Since Unixmad owns the Game as well as these Forums what he doesn't like is very valid whether you like it or not. His wishes are the law here as well as the Game and if that doesn't set well with you then don't post or play the game. Life has its rules we can't do anything about as well as Graal does , you can act like a spoiled child about this or you can grow up and accept the things you cannot change. You cannot change what you are trying to do so just accept it and be done with it.:|

What? Rules get changed all the time when people complain about them. It used to be a rule that women could not vote - this got changed from complaining etc. They didn't just say 'Rules are rules, I guess we can't vote.'

Anything can always be changed, it is an often hard and long process to do so, but people shouldn't giveup about things they believe in, whether in real life - or these forums.

Nor am I denying that it is valid. I was just pointing out that there is nothing written against what has been done. If unixmad wants to be a little baby, then that's fine.

My arguement is that his "wishes" are ruining the game and his community. I was allowed to express that opinion until unixmad and the moderators decided I couldn't because they don't like anyone questioning their omnipotence.

Life's rules are known to you, Graal's rules change whenever unixmad gets a wild hair up his ass; there's a big difference there buddy. There are many ways to change the system. The first being rebellion, and the initial rebellion will lead to other things if you become organized. Some of us won't stand idle while the game and forums are ruined by bad decisions and tyranny.

Did you happen to forget that Graal is a dictatorship? (Which all business are) All you will succeed in doing is getting banned and nothing will change, other than you won't be here. So what is the benefit to you or anyone else? If you can do something to benefit yourself or others then it's a good thing but in this case you won't change anything so what you are doing is rather pointless, don't you think?

I'm sure Stephane doesn't enjoy banning anyone anymore than I would like to see anyone banned. It's sad when it has to come to a point where people refuse to accept what they cannot change and still continue to push till it becomes necessary to remove them from the community. Be a smart guy and don't let it get to that point with you, I realize you feel strongly about what you are doing but then again so did Hitler and he wasn't right either was he? The choice is yours and yours alone but to effect change you need to do it in a manner in which change can take place and so far you are not helping your cause any so try changing your approach if change is really what you want.

That was my whole point. More input from the players should be listened to and we shouldn't be censored just because he doesn't like what has been said.

Ha, now you compare me to Hitler? Anyway, I already said I wasn't going to continue to bicker about the administration on the forums. I'm giving them what they want. I'll go through other channels.

No I am not comparing you to Hitler other than he was also misguided in the way he wanted change to come about. Change is always possible when calm and reason are applied, making snide remarks and being sarcastic about things won't change anything but will only encourage others to follow suit, you know the domino effect. Then it escalates out of hand and you the picture. Make suggestions that are reasonable, start small and try to gain some creditability. Players concerns are always an issue to listen to but will only be listened to if done in a manner worth hearing. This is all I am saying.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to request that the moderators do their jobs correctly. That's all I've been asking for.

I heard you and I always take note of a worthwhile suggestion , I myself may not be able to do anything but maybe at one point in time I can help or at least find someone that will. As for the domino effect it happens a lot here , one does it then another gets on the bandwagon and gets his 2 cents worth of BS posted, come on now you are not new here and have seen this many times, at least till the threads get deleted or closed.

Personally I think they shouldn't be deleted, for archive and reference purposes. Also if you delete the thread it will make graal forums look like a happy-go-lucky place, that's like executing bumbs, and homeless people alike in real life, you know?

never forget..."When I'm driving in my car... and I see someone crossing the street, I hit them! because they're hittable."

True and I agree with this but then again what you think is right may not always be right . The Mods do have some leaway in what they do when judging what they think is right or wrong and if you disagee thats fine but do it in a way that is not flaming them and also realize they too may make mistakes, nobodys perfect. For now let it go and see what develops , document what you think is wrong and why , then get with Stefan and Stephane and point out exactly what you think is wrong and why , also have links to what you are talking about. Build your case by doing it the right way , posting all over the Forum with rantings and ravings won't change anything. I am just trying to help you in the spirit of what a good Forum Community should be about, helping each other and having a few laughs along the way.

Nope I'm not and as far as I know they are not being deleted but are archived in a sub-forum labeled as the Mod Trashcan.

Is it reasonable for all members to access a Forum for SuperMods and Admins only? It is done for history purposes of those who seem to want to be disruptive to the Forum Community. I know about the sub-Forum but I have never seen anything in it because like you I am just a Member and do not and should not have the rights to it. Then again it can prove or disprove an action by a Mod but that is left up to the Admins of the Forum to sort out.

I don't know about "sane" people, but I've already agreed to stop. It has nothing to do with "spilt milk" as you say. I've made it perfectly clear that the choice of moderators is no longer an issue with me.

I've already been doing this, and have agreed to stop the flames. So what's the problem?

I can only go by what you post and that is not what you said but I do agree with you on that here.

I'm with Loriel on this one. Be silent, or go away.
