Winged Knight armor set

The past two days I've been working on a complete set of graphics (armor, legs, arms, helmet, sword and shield) for an event Mark's going to be holding, although I'm going to see if instead I would be able to run it ;D I'm not going to show any of the graphics now but I will leave you with this little preview....

The helmet looks similar to that guy from the Beastmaster movie. (not saying you copied) Looks rather well. If its made it will be great looking on GK in my opinion.

Anyway the graphics for 2k2 are ~75% done. I made the drawing after doing most of the work :P So it's not converting paper -> computer, it was the other way around in this case lol

Yea its a decent movie. Like late 80's.

Once you're done you better show us! I wanna see the end result gfx. They should be good.

I don't like the amount of new items being released and in small quantities. I also hope their stats aren't too good ;x

Yes the whole set is going to be given as one

I was aiming for a damn good looking set, but just average graphics. The event to give it away will be pretty big, expect it to be presented in more of a one time quest. That's all I'm going to say right now. Also all I'm going to show right now. You'll have to wait untill the release to see it

One last thing I'd like to say, though... If possible I plan on doing one of these a month with a sneak preview like this given on the 1st...so expect another post from me in a few weeks.

WOW this is assuming alot... LOL I've gotten Marks approval but thats it XD oh well I'm sure stefan would be more than willing to accept additions such as these (though I will need alot of help from him to execute the event quest)

Email graphics/suggested stats to me, and I can get the item added.

We will nerf the stats if they are too high. Keep that in mind.

Hmmmmmmmmm. If just one person gets it, things could go crappo. Like, a powerplayer or something with all these leeto items might win the event, and get them, and not even want to use them because of their reasonable stats. He'd just either hold onto them or sell them off for completely *****ic prices. The set will have gone to waste

But oh well, there isn't really any way to stop this so... can't wait to see what the set looks like

Looks like a nice new addition to Kingdoms. Keep in mind the weight of the items.... Dont make mith armor thats a full plate mail. Rofl... that is all. g/j.

Thats one awsome looking idea your bringing to life there! If i could just suggest cranking out a few more ideas that are slightly different, you could have the special "for this kingdom only" armor sets!

If i recall LordZen has ideas for his Zormite items, this is a good chance at fairness for everyone, as well as higher incentive to join any given kingdom and do well to stay there. (ie, not be a jerkoff that just needs the goods and leaves)

Another post in the Zormite forum folks wished for ideas that you could use the graphics on the armor and weapons you have with no change just so you can look cool in it.

As was mentioned if you only make a few, There's the high risk of someone with "already 400+ leet items" gets ahold of it and that just will not do, Please lets think strongly about your great idea, I would hate to see it fade into history and vanish like so many other great ideas have already. =(

There is a easy way to stop that... people with more than 3 Event items cant participe on more events. =/ i see it fair, because they actually can but them from other players still..., what you guys think?

Armor: good job, by the way, u szaying it going to cover legs and arms? woa thats cool, would be cool if mith had gfx too :'(

No way to tell how mant event items someone has really, probably wouldn't stop them from showing up either.

Only very few have that kind of access to Kingdoms, and it'd be too much work - specially with events which involve everyone online.
Also, it wouldn't be fair - event items are different, some are weak, some are strong.
A better way would be to
a) Hold events so that strength doesn't win you the pot
and
b) have items with slightly better stats, not too extreme.
I believe b is taken care of now. And don't confuse "fair events" with "more events" - quality above quantity.

Let the guy have sandals with wings like Mercurius/Hermes :o Because i only see a funky hat with wings

The PKers don't use spells to PK normally, so there wont be any mage items

And his boots do have wings, its just that...they're real small, and don't resemble wings that much in the picture.

Yes, I think it would a better prize to be given all to one person if they werent actually items at all...

Instead it would be cool if Stefan could add some sort of new item. When applied it would make your character look like that picture Alarid posted above, but in reality you would still be wearing all of your normal equipment.

That would be a variant of my pro-nationalism kingdom uniform idea, in that it would be individualized and rewarded as a prize..

It should be a skill or a spell, or an alchemy potion made with (already existing o_o) ingredients. So when you cast the spell/use the potion, your appearance changes, all magical-like

You could have different spells/potions for different appearances. For example, like a "spell of flight" or a "balm of hermes" to get yourself looking like this winged knight fellow!

In greek mythology he's called hermes and he's a messenger of the gods, not one of them. Even if that site does say he's known as mercury to the romans, they sold out to christianity in the end anyway so who cares about what they say =/

Whoever Said Hermes is not a God, should start to think before speaking. I study Greek Mythology Hermes is the God of Thieves, Merchants etc... He is refered to as the Messanger of the gods as he was fabbled to be well lets just say in the wonderful graal language uberly fast. Hermes himself was infact and immortal or inscence a god. He was called upon by zeus along with all the other gods to meetings and what nots in myths and was reffered to as a god in one a many myth. IM glad thats cleared up now.
