Event and RP tie ins

I remember back when I used to play Graal a few years ago ('99 or 2000 I believe), there were so many quests to do that I had a hard time finding them all.

As far as quests are concerned here in Graal Kingdoms, pretty much the only one I really see is the one that involved the golden keys for stats (which eventually allows you to get all your stats to 20, real rp-ish quest there *sigh).

It'd be nice to see these new items and such introduced in new quests rather than 'let's send 30 or so people in the labyrinth and hope someone finds the exit after an hour.'

I'm unsure what restricts this from happening. I am sure that it's something to do with maps needing to be updated to fix some of these issues. If this is the case, then perhaps some improvements to the game server to allow on-the-fly quest building and updates to landmass and areas to reduce the need to rebuild landmaps.

It'd just be nice to start seeing the vast amount of space in the kingdoms used, along with empty areas on the main continent as well. Plus, it'd be more interesting to start seeing lore involved in events, and have something available to a larger group of people than just the lucky victor of a contest.

Roleplaying is more than just acting 'in character' as well. RP is also the environment around you. So if the direction of GK is to go into the direction of a RP-encouraged online game, then I'd suggest something in this direction as well.

I'm not sure whether this has been suggested or not as well. I didn't see anything relating to it when I did a glance over, nor since I've been here... then again, I haven't seen a tie-in with an online quest generator/builder as well.

Haha, have you even thought out how exactly these quest would work? The HHs is just about the most efficient and fair thing you can get although some other challenging aspects to it would be nice like killing monsters in a certain combination or so rather than just collecting keys and going through a door for each room ;p

Keep in mind like all other MMORPGs this is going to evolve, you can't expect the entire over-world to be filled in a day otherwise there would be know room for new ideas in the future <3 Also, if you like RPing use your imagination a bit; be a bit creative with your surroundings and you'd see it's fine. I would like to see kingdom exclusive things such as certain fruits growing on certain kingdom islands which would encourage interaction (trade, possibly thievary) between kingdoms ^-^

It's not my position to think of how these quests would work. I'm not an event master. I do agree with you, it would be nicer to see some more variation or challenge to a quest. I'm sure there's plenty of tools available to do interesting dungeon puzzles, have the mini-games currently in place (metris) be involved during a quest (therefore requiring you to get the metris game, then go to the npc that's required for that particular part of the quest, like getting a certain score to get a specific item to continue on, etc)

I've played almost every MMORPG to date, and I know much of their very nature. A number of them are moving towards on-the-fly scripting and dynamic playerworlds, however, which, from my knowledge of the game thus far, is lacking from Graal. That was part of my suggestion, and would make for changes to things to be easier and testing as well for that matter.

There are many things in my surroundings to use, although I do have a problem with the God system. I'm told to go fight giants and goblins, but I see no mobs with either name. Instead I have to look for t-rexs, which I'm still trying to figure out how they fit in as well.

I'd also like to see some kingdom exclusives, because as I can see now they are all player housing areas and that's pretty much it. There are entrances to mines, but there's nothing in them to mine. It'd be great if there were some variations with that (perhaps a higher drop rate of certain things or even new, unique things), but tie that into another system. Some sort of kingdom region control. It'd be nice to have a 'map' or 'continent' that is split up into regions, and kingdoms and clans have to invade those lands to take control of them. After they have control they have access to specific functions of that land, perhaps special items that can be crafted there, special dungeons, unique pets and horse avatars, or even special mines.

A true roleplayer can roleplay in any type of environment, I agree. Although, they will always ask for more tools to make their job easier as well.

If they add three NPC's in the pub, it already would improve GK. Like, a bartender and two guests or something, that say some random message when you touch them.

It would be cool if you could play metris to gain items, such as like, 100 points would get you a piece of food, maybe 400 could get you waybread, 900 for a random mineral, 1.5k for a random weapon (maybe only obtained from metris or something or a metris weapon thing with all the other weapons mixed in for chance), 1.6k points would get you a peice of armour, 1.8 for a random map, 2k would get you a random scroll (any, spell scrolls or even IWD scrolls), 3k a potion (any kind) 5k maybe a would get you a thing for preparing weapons (prepare weapon scroll, 10 diamonds, improve stat scrolls, ea, etc), and maybe 10k to get a random event item. That way people would have another option for obtaining some rare equipment, the better you are the more points you get the better your prize is, so one could spend all day metrising instead of in a map. :P maybe to prevent abuse there would be a special place where you would have to play metris, therefore other people could stop you on your way to something rare :P instead of standing in your house loading up on everything you'll ever need.
