Spark910 has a spectacular aura about
Exclamation Invisible > Hosted Tab (Requirements)

It's not as long as it looks...

Okay! I know I have asked in the past for people who want to become visible but this time I mean it. I have received my tool to move people around, among other things, so I can actually make them visible now.

The PWA has been drafting up a few things and we have made this outline for the requirements for playerworlds. This is for the average style of playerworlds which follows the basic Job, Quest, Weapons route. So of course each playerworld will be an exception as (hopefully) each playerworld will be different and won’t fit the requirements directly every time.

How to apply to become public:
Look below and make sure you follow and meet these requirements. If you do not then make sure you have it all up and running for when we come and inspect you (Pick a date next week)

If you meet the requirements below, and would like to become visible in the Hosted (3rd)* tab, then please forumPM or E-Mail me with your playerworld name and a date you’d like for us to come and inspect your playerworld.

Pick from these dates for an inspection:
Saturday 29th November – Saturday 6th December

Please only apply if you have a good playerworld ready for the players to use. If your playerworld is not playable (not still building the foundations) then please do not apply. This tab needs servers that are playable and not still in early development.

This tab is for half-way playerworlds and not fully completed playerworlds. If your playerworld is FULLY completed then please let us know and you can apply to go into the classic tab.

*The Hosted (3rd) tab will only work for Gold + VIP accounts. This is because it’s not for FULLY completed playerworlds, more of a half-way-house, and to show players the current servers in development.

Requirements:

Levels:
-A good amount of outside levels (Lowest around 50 maybe)
-If it’s a small leveled overworld there shouldn’t be any empty houses/caves etc.
-Levels should be linked correctly and to a good standard
-No level should trap a player; there should always be a way out (Exception to jails)
-Levels should look good and be of a reasonable standard of detail and quality

NPCs:
GST Involved here
-NPCs should be secure and not be able to be abused (Trigger action)
-NPCs should be to a good scripting standard (See here)
-NPCs should be fully working if accessible by the players
- NPCs should be commented and well formatted so they can
be understood and developed by others.
-There should be some sort of bug reporting system, so that the players can report bugs.

Playerworld Security:
-All RCs should have an IP range set to them (#.#.#.*)
-Only Managers should have rw logs/*
-Only managers should have Full Level4 RCs
-NPC Control rights should be turned on
-Only people who really NEED access to folders and NPCs with rw should be given it. Other people should just have r (read-only)

Quests:
-Some way to develop the character such as quests
-Player should have fun (Not just kill everything, or carry a pot/bush)
-Each quest should be some what different

Events/Fun:
-Some way to amuse the players:
*Events
*Auctions
*Collectable Items
*Limited Items

Gameplay:
-Lots to do
-Not all over in the first 5mins
-Updates for players

Some original ideas:
-Something new to please the players

Jobs:
-Some way to make/get the currency (e.g: Jobs)
-Give the player a choice in which way to make money
-Make it fun (Not D-Bashing)

Updates:
-Updates for the server need to be ready upon release (if small)

User Friendly:
-Players starting your playerworld should know where to go and what to do straight away, and shouldn’t have to walk around for a long period of time before finding some sort of place with content.
-All Jobs/Events/Weapons etc should be well documented (e.g: Signs) so that the user knows how to use it. If it’s the basic controls, still have something stating them.

Staff:
-Staff should be able to answer the player comments or PMs.
-Staff should not be abusive or violent towards and Graal player.
-All staff should be trained in their area, and know how to do their job (e.g: GPs)
-Staff do not need staff weapons therefore all staff do not need some. If you do make these they should be secure to work with staff-tags and disable sword etc.. so the weapon can not be abused.

Spark may have meant Saturday not Sunday , I will ask him about that..

I will also make up a Guideline for GPs or whatever Staff you use to help those Staff understand and how to implement the Graal rules with players. Upon completion I will have Spark and Angel look at it for approval and then post it on the Forums.

Dark Nations

I probablly wont apply to get tested for Dark Nations to go Public.....I am having problems such as Co Manager is being accused of stealing levels/npc's.....And my overworld isnt complete and its REALLY hard to find LAT's these days that are willing to work..Overworld will probablly be done 1 or 2 weeks after Dec.6th so that really sucks considering i JUST missed it...Can someone tell me the next date in which PW tabs are being reviewed?

i dont think there should be a set review date once the first date is passed. then after the initial review date there can be a queue of servers waiting to be tested. a manager can submit his server the the queue when he/she sees fit.

Well, one advantage for the scheduled monthly method is that it is more organized. Instead of servers switching in an out of public at any time, people know when to expect new server releases.

thats a rather easy fix. just have a website where people can visit to see the queue line and the progress of each server being reviewed.

or

you could have the queue line, but only realese the servers that pass every 2 months.

Ah, my mistake. I thought we were referring to reviewing and releasing/switching as the same thing.
