Why doesn't anybody play Graal2001 anymore? I have 10,000g and now there's nobody to spend it on or anything to buy. What's a guy suppose to do with all of that money?

I still say we need to figure out time travel, go back to 2001 and convince Stefan not to give G2k1 up in favour of this GK thingie.

I liked having fun with the economy more than kingdoms ;x I guess Classic players are more into "omg pk-ness" on UN,Era and alike.....God..this totally blows...2k1 IS the best server, it has everything; economy, kingdoms (well soon again), more than one race that's actually cool, lots of events, the foundation of many ideas that other servers now use such as hats and dolls...even some pking and it can't even work on the gold server cause everybody says it makes no sense with kingdoms around just because the graphics and sound is better drawing the majority of the player-base and newbies and now we're screwed on Classic =/

The problem arises from a perceived lack of things to do.

Graal2001 has always been focused on community - there isn't a lot of interesting stuff that a player can do on his or her own. I've been giving this a lot of thought as of late, and am attempting to figure out the best method to address this.

Since G2k1 was last released I got into PKing a bit, and I cannot say that all of my many gralats, 140 or so, have been earned by hard mining work. But PKing just is no fun if you are the only one to be online; even with two accounts it is just unproductive.

The problem is finishing kingdoms. There's like only 4 active staff members. Shadowless is working his butt off, he did the zorbi and now he's working on bellasera. He might end up doing malenth as well. =/

I believe it needs a minimum of 60 players consistently to work. Updates aren't the problem osrs, 2k1 has more to do than probably almost the entire classic tab combined...what more do you want? More may even be a bad idea...I'd just like to see a few things improved which is being done, not new things added...all it really needs is hat shop restocks and such to run efficiently with all of it's current content. You guys want major updates weekly or so ._. if it were that way everything would be worthless and unbalanced. A quest or two more would be nice though and minor additions are always fun like Tseng's bamboo skin system and new /ganis or so

Personally I'd like to see the D-smashing jobs altered in some way to turn them around from being the monotonous and unattractive jobs they are now, to something more elaborate and involving.

Really, the only jobs that don't require D-smashing are Cow Milking and Mushroom Picking - both of which have no, or miniscule payoffs.

Maybe some kind of "carrier" service. Players can get a job as a mail delivery person and deliver to other NPCs around the overworld.

What about a casino of some sort? That way you can gamble all of your money and win big or lose it all. It could require Events Team members to start a round of roulette or something. I mentioned my ideas in the "Updates" thread.

I also think it would be neat to have a "Bounty" with a player's head and their current nickname. It could be scripted to randomly select a player that's online and you can go after them or chase them down if you will! If you drag them in (use an NPC like Catch-net for instance) or it could be made to were they must be killed, then you are payed an amount of money for your laboring. It's important that there be a 10 players online minimum for this to work. That way somebody couldn't just log on a bunch of their accounts and keep killing themselves over and over, making money.

Quite simply, there is nothing to do on 2k1. Newbs can't make money, it is impossible. By the time you finaly make the 80g you paid for your gold hammer, it breaks. If you try to PK anyone, you get banned for stalking. Why even play? All of the oldbies get 10,000g with ease, but what do they do with it? Nothing. Oh, maybe buy some hats (omg yes), no big deal. I spent about 40 hours on this server before realizing that it isn't worth my time.

Loriel, I am not friends with staff like you, so everytime I PK someone that is friends staff, I am threatened by GPs who say that I will be banned for stalking if I keep PKing their friends. Whether you believe it or not, it is the truth. As for the rest of the server, I would rather spend 10 hours working IRL to get around $100 than spend 10 hours on here to get 300 gralat. This server is not fun at all, it is boring as hell. Sousuke asked why people don't play here, and I told everyone exactly why. You do not have to believe it. People play games for fun, not to work like slaves for hours.

He is exactly right about the police/GPs, too. I was PKing someone with the account name "Shart", and he paused when he was about to die. Then, some person with a "Police" tag warped to us. He told me to stop, or I would be banned. I stopped. Then, I never again logged on to this piece of trash server.

You don't get banned for PKing, you get jailed for stalking if you constantly PK somebody over and over again to the point that they can't play the game. If I get proof of Police bending the definition of the rules for their friend's benefit, they'll be warned about it. You'd only get banned for stalking if you had subsequent offenses.

you know what? how about we revolt, and take over 2k1's law and order... i'd be a good GP since I'm not a person that says "OMGROFLKTHXYOUWERESTALKINMEFRIENDBYE"... i'd basically just watch from afar and see whether or not the person actually WAS stalking... if a head kept on coming to the same head over and over and the same one disappeared... i'd jail him for a bit. end of story. I wouldn't give a rat's ass if the guy was stefan GrowlZ, Lyndzey or Bricko... you constantly stalk a person, and your ass is mine.

Plus, GPs should be the RP guys as well, since they would be there to jail any RP interrupters and make sure nothing illegal was happening...

RP related affairs will be handled by the RP admin & the kingdom leaders, not the Police. (Leaders/Admin can request a jail, though)
