I may be wrong about this, but isnt the classic graal server suppost to be the main non gold server? There used to be upwards of 200 people at a time on the server, but now that all these other playerworlds have come out it has slowly drifted to the bottom of the player list.

More than likely, when new players come onto graal to test it out, dont they goto the first server on the list? (At last check Unholy Nation had 183 people on it, and i dont think that the server is THAT good....its just that its on the top of the player list and that new players think that it must be the main server.) Ive talked to a few people about this and they all agree(they were all on classic, so this my be a bit biased) that classic should be made so that it is always on top of the server list and renamed Main server(maybe be a stretch). This way classic will eventually have the most people on the server again. I mean, the classic server was developed by the original graalonline people so wouldnt you want this to be what the new players see, instead of something made by another player?

This is just an idea and may be completely stupid....im just wondering what other people think....

It's not the main server.

+ If it goes to the top of the list, graal2001 goes up there with it.

Don't let our waiting-room playercount fool you, when our weeklong opening countdown starts, people will come back.

to me it seems kind of selfish becuase you like classic and of corse want to get more players on it :P
heck i would say the same thing about graal 2001 becuase i like it so much.
i suppose that is just how things are though

so i dunno.
i don't like the idea but then what good is my opinon :P?
i suppose i just never liked classic enough to agree

Personally; I'm against listing any non-gold servers ahead of the others.

I didnt mean for it to sound like i was saying that the classic graal was the main (non gold) server now. I was trying to say that it should be made into that. Maybe it would be betterfor their to be another tab created like graal gold, classic(including 2001?), and playerworlds.

That is an interesting thought. Product placement is a large part of improving product consumption.

Perhaps what should be done is alphabetical? No, that would make servers like Archaic get an unfair advantage. What about playercount? Well no, then it is unfair to new servers.

My thought is make the serverlist look like the graal.net server tree. Categorical is the only fair way to sort servers. Whatever other way you sort inside the catagory, so long as it isn't too big, the playing field is far more level. Just so long as no server is in more than, say, two categories. All servers should be split into RP and PK. Then there should be categories like on graal.net (futuristic, modern, medieval, fantasy, scifi, postapocalyptic, etc)

Perhaps put Gold + Graal Classic + Graal2001 on one page, and the playerworlds on the other?

To show how server that evolved "officially" turned out, perhaps?

But I am against forcing them to be at the top of the same list as the other playerworlds - that is unfair. So...hmm.

The gold tab is too empty though, really. It has...one server (well, more if you're debug staff).

I had suggested earlier that they be combined to form one big playerlist but...*shrugs*

You guys forget the 3 tab things going to be happening...

tabs 1 and 2 for uber 1337 playerworlds and 3 for everything else. I personally HATE that but that seems to be what unixmad wants to do. I also hate the fact that when our playerworlds go up only VIP and gold members will be able to play them unless they hit tab 2...That's just setting up lots of us for failure there.

I'd like to have it so trial accounts can save on classic, but still have some limitations.

Hoss is right, newbies always go on the top server which is a server (no offense) that isn't of the best quality.

I see few newbies on that server becase usually I tell them they need 1000 deaths to get staff, then I "assist" them in getting these 1000 deaths. Usually it takes me up to 20 minutes to find a newbie to do this.

Classic is the original server. I think they do deserve some credit such as being top on the list. Maybe that's just because Hoss is a good friend of mine or because I prefer Classic over all classic servers.

As much as I miss the old classic (the current classic really sucks in my opinion) I don't think they should get special treatment just because it was the original server. Besides, it's going to have trouble staying up if they don't hurry with the npc server script conversion...I don't think they realize what the next graal version means to them if they don't get their **** together.

No. Saving on every Playerworld would. Theres only a limited amount to do on classic, people would want to expand to other PWs.

And if you go find some graal comments most people complain how there are far too many ristrictions on trials.

Atleast UN is better than Classic..in my opinion. Classic's levels are outdated. Atleast UN has SOME updates. So if you think they should bring Classic up for more people, you're wrong xD.

Classic doesn't even have that much to show off. Newbs go to Graal Kingdoms first, anyway. It's the first server that pops up, so they check it out..(even though they're ghosts)

Perhaps but it could cost Graal money in the long run because while classic doesn't have a lot of people on at the same time, they still have a very wide community base with quite a few trials as well...doing this would give those people no reason to upgrade.

Personally, I think a trial account should work like Asheron's Call 2 (though implementation might not be easy) where you get like 15 days free and if you want to continue playing on that account you have to pay.
