As for the bugs forum, would it make sense to send a neat little text file full of bugs rather than post a bug on the forum each time we find one? No.

Who said anything about that? I was simply pointing out how ludicrous this idea is.

I don't see where we claim to be staff. Perhaps we test the game globally(that is, on all servers) to make sure that certain servers don't have NPCs that have abstract effects on it? Rather than just playing the thing on 2k2 and helping one small group of people.

You seem to claim to be an "official" team, and last I checked, a game "official" was synonomous with a game "staff."

Thanks! I know you must have a very busy schedule, with all that "work" you're doing. ^_^

1. are you stupid, or do i have to bbbang the thread into your head? WE ARE NOT STAFF, NOR HAVE WE EVER SAID WE ARE.
We said: We are a TEAM, NOT A STAFF TEAM, that SEARCH FOR BUGS AND REPORTS THEM.

Last I checked, I was of at least slightly above average intelligence. As for yur 'non-staff team' status, nifty. What's the point of posting about its officiality + roster then? I don't see why the people on your "team" can't just contact you, as its purpose seems to indicate is the proper procedure. Furthermore, what's to prevent anyone from just forwarding bugs to you? And, even furthermore, what's to prevent anyone from just forwarding these bugs to Stefan, or posting them in the Bug Reports forum (Which, for the record, Stefan
does read!)?

We don't get anything, no tags, emails, rights or anything.
We don't pretend to be staff, because we know we are not staff, and this is just for fun.

The wording of your post would rather indicate that you have some sort of official position.

Second, do you know what global means? Global means global. Global does NOT mean global staff. Global means global.
We aren't local on any PW, we check around every PW's, so we are global.
Once again, global means global.
Global staff means global staff.
|
The phrase "Global Team" obviously has the connotation of a global staff team. See Global GFX Team and Global Scripting Team.

I'm sure Albus is so sad that he didn't think of making a pretend staff team.

No, we submit bugs to the team leader who submits them to Stefan. The average player would
A)send individual bugs to Stefan
B)have their messages probably not read by Stefan

(off-topic, but it seems you're rather proud to be in this pretend staff team

, back to on-topic

Ah. So the fact that you can submit bugs to the 'team leader' differentiates you from the normal player? I see. I guess other players can't submit bugs to your team leader, or even to Stefan himself, for that matter, even though i've already elaborated on how that is quite possible! Darn!

If you wanna make some silly little group dedicated to finding bugs and reporting them to Stefan then fine, that's okay. It won't help Graal much, but who knows? Maybe it'll help a little.
However, calling yourselves 'Global Beta Testers' is misleading, and perhaps intentionally so. If you take the format used in the past (Global Script Team etc) and apply it to your group then you imply that yours is just as official. You should change it, if only to avoid confusion.
One way or another, the Bugs Admin system would be much more effective.

I completely agree.
