Version 3 Buglist

1. The window for the playerlist is really ugly and you can't seem to use it.
2. When NPCws are in a group like UN's warp rings, they don't work right.
3. I can only see me on the minimap and the others appear to be in "limbo"
4. Transparency on Signs are really messed up.
5. Downloading Graphics while being a regular user (not Root) does not work.
6. Profiles don't work right.
7. Trying to install Graal for Linux as a user (Expert Mode) doesn't work correctly.
8. Can't save password (not really a bug, but I'd really like it in the next release)
9. Going to Graal Kingdoms froze it on mine.
10. Opening the player list in Graal Adventure also froze it and I had to send a Kill signal.

These are all I can think of right now, I'll add more to the list. It's a pretty solid beta though and I LOVE PLAYING IT FOR LINUX so I will ignore these errors for the time being!

Its horribly laggy for me.. I had the same problem with unreal tournament. If anyone knows the "cure" it'd be appreciated

Download the nvidia drivers if you have a Nvidia card?

you don't have opengl installed

k, got lag problem fixed

if you set the theme in options to windows, the help menu gets kind of messed up (the "windows" buttons on the top are a little out of line, the scrollbar is a little messed, and the transparency/background disappears)

Another bug: When I set my nickname to my account name, Graal would always freeze when I logged on. Also, sometimes a mass message shows up and I click on it and it says the last thing I PMed someone.

Edit: Another bug: You can't view other people's spar ratings by pushing 'r', also collision detection is messed up and I can't seem to be hit by other players and that doesn't look good. Because admins may think that I'm hacking or something

Is that Mafukie that is blanked out? It restarts the computer? That's really weird. Maybe Stefan should make the beta versions have error logs?

Also, another bug. The shields don't line up with the character right. And sometimes there are "invisible walls" that the player can't get through.

Thats NPCs using setshape I belive with GFX that have not loaded?

No, it was on classic and I don't think setshape works without npc server. In the middle of the pathway...

Another bug worth mentioning is when you get hit while holding an object (like a sign or bush) you don't throw it when you are damaged. It stays with you, though that is kind of cool =). There is also some shoddy 'pause' detection. Sometimes people will ask me why I have a paused tag when I'm running around. I don't see it when I say 'showname'. And most of the time when I pause on the linux client, I can't see the (paused) on my other Windows computer.

Some servers that I try to log on... A whole bunch of 'em actually... It wont let me on. Before it even attempts to connect, it says 'Decompression Error', or something. Other servers work fine.

not all of the severs have been upgraded to support "version 2.19+3", read what it says on the right before connecting.

Which is why my graal is put into a new folder every time. So I have the old one, so I can use it if there are bugs. Until I had my new computer I was using a level editor from about 6-7versions ago as the new one had that tile bug in it.

Also this could explain the lower servers with high counts.

I will check those problems. Right now I only know of those:
- some mngs generated with gif2mng are buggy, run gif2mng on those again and upload to get it fixed (task for playerworld admins)
- the same for some pngs having wrong transparency - old graal used black as transparent color when there wasnt a transparent color index, Graal v3 supports it correctly, so those need to be saved correctly and uploaded
- inserting the text into the PM windows has problems with some characters, will fix that soon
- playerlist is not sorted
- when a gani is downloaded then graal doesnt automatically download the images in the gani, you will need to restart graal for getting the npcs displayed that use the ganis
- v3 has a better wall check, meaning npcs and tiles are blocking better, don't know if that is a bad thing - level makers should change the tiles or npcs if the player is meant to get through that

About the bug reports:
What problems with signs and profiles? Need to check the R thing, its implemented but may be the key not checked since its not in the options. Also the head positons on maps and minimaps need to be checked, normally they should work but there might be some little problem, i will check that.
The Linux installer gives you the option to install it in your own folder? When you install as root and play as normal user there might be problems with caching the files yes, then you need to set the rights of the folders manually so that everyone can write into those.

Also, this doesn't exactly pertain to v3, but I'm having trouble getting Graal to load some of my flat gmaps. I have the NPC scripts correct, but it fails to load the ones I make by hand. It loads my terrain gmap and any other gmap I use or was created by dungeongen. I'd use dungeongen, but its hard for me to get it to use my particular cave tiles considering they are not the same proportions (smaller actually). I saw how I can redefine what tiles are used for the particular parts, but dungeongen uses those tiles to fill in the default dimensions of GK's inside tiles. Its too much of a hassle to go back and clean it all up.

Why doesnt it work? I can use triggeraction under //#CLIENTSIDE. I think one of the scripts I recently made has that in it. Let me check....

I was wrong it doesnt work right now x_X
