Here's a better when...

When will the Guild management system be back up?!?! The post on the page says it should have been up by Christmas...That was two weeks ago...Maybe instead of working on all this new stuff, the stuff that currently needs to be worked on should be finished first. I think Graal3D is coming a little too soon considering almost none of the current servers have been updated or anything for months (or so I'm told). I don't mean to complain and I know the workload to maintain Graal is immense, but why add extra responsibility on top of what currently needs to be done? Feel free to post your thoughts...

Soon Soon! VIP Is to be introduced after New Year, so soon. It will all come together when they release Graal3D so just be patient as it will be all cool!

Also Guild has been bugged or messed up since day 1 as far as I know, they ''fix'' it but something keeps happening to stop it working almost every other month.

Well, they shouldn't get people's hopes up like that. Plus, there's no been so much as a word as what the progress is since Christmas...I think we should at least hear something about it after two weeks...

Get people hopes up? They haven't, they said in after the new year VIP will be inforced as an option. 31st December 2003 is after New year, so they haven't lied or said anything they shouldn't have.

I think VIP is a way to support Graal so they can hire better programmers (Graal 3d) and get faster servers.

Or they could do the intelligent thing, which is what they've already done: Make a business out of a highly successful online game so that they can make themselves a living.

You take far too much for granted.

I completely agree. Kill3r seems to think that dedicated servers and bandwidth come out of the magical land of free servers and bandwidth. Well Kill3r if there is such a place, I'd like to go there and visit the magical server gnomes. hook me up.

Yes? So?

I wanted VIP only for forum access. The fact that I get Graal3D and such is just an added bonus.

In my view, Graal deserves a little more revenue. Over the past years I've been playing, they have done so much and it's about time they get paid for it. So what's the big deal with $20? I only have to work for 3 hours to get that and it's for a full year of whatever will be so special about VIP access.

3 hours of work is only .034246575342465753424657534246575% of the year.

I just don't think Graal is worth 20 bucks at this point. Maybe 10 at the most. I know there are no server gnomes, but improve the quality of the game itself before increasing the price. All Kingdoms has is purdy graphics with bad gameplay and a buggy server. Why should people pay the cash monies for something that is crappy? I didn't even want graal gold, i just want classic.

BTW, I don't think Graal3D is going to be an improvement. I think it'll make kingdoms suck even more than it does now.

Let me ask you something I've asked over 150 people in the past two years:

Would you prefer Graal to exist or not exist?

If it's the former, then suck it up and pay a day's paycheck for a good online game with a great community.

If it's the latter, then go away. :|

I care. I like getting the chance to preview stuff early before alot of people. Heck 20 bucks is nothing I get that for 2 hours of work. It wont be free you have to have a gold account to play it. I dont like the idea of it being with kingdoms though i would rather a seperate server for 3d. Because personally I like 3d games but I dont care much for 2k2.
I dont really even play graal any more I just like to make levels and scope out the new stuff. But I keep my account upgraded any ways just to help graalonline out.

The reson I like graal so much is becuase you can mold it so much.

I mean, what other programs out there do you know thats 2d, and able to create with such ease, and on top of that, get it online for free, or just partisipate in a small community like this.

Well, there are probably alot more, but I like graaaaal

I show my support to graalonline by buying a VIP account.
Though from a personal perspective, I don't think they are really trying to market graal in a grand scale, how old is the actual graal program now? 4+ years right? Its an ever evolving prodcut, its a rareity that you find programs updated for so long withought turning into new things all together.

hem.

Great point birdy...

Graal is basically the same as it was 4 years ago, with a lot of changes, but still about the same (makes sense to me ).

Of course I would. I'd just like the staff to actually follow through with the current servers and complete them rather than continue adding new things that really shouldn't be a priority at this point. It all seems a bit rushed to me, that's all. And also, I don't like having to pay for features I don't want just to get the features I do want. For instance, the only features I want is forum access and access to the graal classic servers. I don't want any part of graal gold or graal3d. So if there are others out there like me, why should we have to pay for services we don't want? I'm just trying to suggest that there should be an option for those who only want to play graal classic and/or want forum access. Okay, I'll shut up.
