Yes, I've decided to attemt to make a normal playerworld.
No spiffy new tile set.
Just a place where people will want to play.

I like you and admire your work and all but...its not fair that you can post a very little bit of information and people decided to help you with your playerworld and when others do what you did they get flamed up their ass with hate messages saying post a screen shot or to.
So just please post a bit more information.

The reason he can is because we know how good he is in a choosen field of developing. In his case graphics and levels.
We know fine well he can do them well so he doesn't exactly have to proove himself.

Yes, if someone else apart from Bird Bird had posted this idea everyone would think nothing of him and give him ****. Especially as it seems to be an idea thats just come to him and it also is not using a new tileset, for anyone else this wouldn't go far at all.

There is nothing else I can really say about the playerworld.

Great Critisisem though, and I don't think it would need to go private for more then a week or so to debug the npcs when its finaly ready.

Right now there is a generated world, Im making some nice midi's and overworld. The server does not have a large story, or constant button mashing for jobs, or leveling.

The main idea I want behind it is simply adventure, community, social atmosphere and activitys, a place to have fun, not working to have fun.

I hate games like that, work hours and hours, get more powerfull, get more money, become best and then lose intrest.

Thats mainly what I want to do.

You really can't get me wrong with that now.

Nice, it does sound like it will be more of an enjoyment server, not really like Graal 2002 where its hack and slash to see who can get to the highest level. If everything was done properly, by that I mean great scripts, nice level quality and sound then I'm sure you could get many followers and players.

It shall be good. Hey bird, will the name be Project 0? i know your name has a Zero in it and your doing a projects, thus that thread title, But what will the name be? Make it a good simple one, and about Project 0, you couldn't use that a bit copying RE.

I think you are mistaken. It isn't "fame" that gets people private servers. It's simply the fact that Stefan knows the person well, trusts them, knows what they are capable of making, etc. Not because the person is popular and begs Stefan to do it.

Take Galen for example. He has admin access to these forums yet he only stops by like 2-3 times a month. Why? Because Unixmad trusts Galen with the responsibility. Sure, it might not seem right, but would you tell some random stranger to hold your money, or a friend you can trust?

By the way, this server sounds... boring. :P Sure it's community and all, but all of the servers are communities. You need some kind of razzle dazzle to keep people interested. Like a different system for doing things. If you really want a change, make it so people can't fight. Then it's REALLY a community server.

you're right and you're wrong, you really need to be well known in order to know stefan or unixmad (to a certain extent) you wouldn't have gotten to know stefan or have gotten the GM job if you weren't LAT/Head LAT/Co-Manager for 2k1, Birdbird wouldn't have is he wasnt whatever he was for 2k1 and newworld, yes I will say stefan and/or unixmad trusts the people but they wouldn't have gotten to know and trust them if they didnt have a certain ammount of fame

Actually, Jagen, I'd say that it's not so much an issue of fame as an issue of trust.

If someone rises through the ranks without any major issues, they're going to be more trustworthy than some super-cyan vegetable man fresh out of Sister Gertrude's.

I've never held any kind of "important" jobs on either Classic or 2k1 but I've managed to garner some kind of trust from Stefan and Unixmad.

Nor me, Im half well know on Classic, and i got connections on 2001 and most PWs/Servers, but apart from that im just me and I think Stefan likes me and trusts me, same with Unix. But the thing is Stefan wont say ''I hate you'' as your a buying player, so he doesn't want to let you go. Any anyway Managers are always popular enough with Stefan.

Ok I stoped the project :O!

BUT WAIT, it gets better.

I'm working on Era now, it has everything I wanted my server to have, as well as much much more!

Stop by when you can, go into classic player world menu and type in Era in that pull down menu benith the names.

Angel is one of the best freinds you can have on graal, *psst* she gave me a uzi and pistol.

I want to buy ak 47 cause its annoying when people run around and shot me, i liek go crazy and take my Shotgun and kill one of them, the other one dies with my super uzi. I knife down the other, the other one gets my pistol but the last one, i dont have a gun for it so he kills me.

With ak 47 i would get a whole apertunity to own Era, muhahahhahaha im power crazy

and thats why, im known in Era as, Jaffer The Crazy.

and a released pistol that is using Core Electronics new Crizten chaged ammunition.

packs a punch and a small light show.

I don't dislike the concept of era but i do dislike their attempt at a tileset, which i offerend to help improved but got flamed by angel, and i dislike their management... where that is, which is more my point.

I don't know anyone who wouldn't agree. I went on there to have a look and was extremely disappointed at the servers tileset and graphics, Birdbird you really should do something about it.
