Yes, ganis are great, but they're kinda limited. If we use our imaginations a little bit then our races could be so much better. For example, how about using showimg to make multi-part monsters? Sure, there's lag, but with the right scripting that can be removed, and the possibilities are much wider. How about fun stuff like fly swarms that react to being hit by dispersing in the direction of the attack (like it you hit a cloud)? Now, not many people would want to play a group of creatures with sub-2 IQ levels, but you get my point. Unless ganis get some scripting option added, standard scripting will always have some advantages over them.

Yes ganis will get scripting support,
because things like snakes with long tails
wouldn't be possible with normal ganis,

may be it can go together with support for
attaching objects to the player (which can
have its own script + gani, similar to a weapon
but visible)

Kai, if something like this is done it means that part of your scripting of those oogly snakes and such were a waste of time... but they are still soooooooo spiffy.

Not just that, it means all the work I'm doing delagging them (I've actually pretty much finished now) is for nothing. Curses! And I'd just figured out how to make them 0 lag...

so you could make practically everything from a sprite set and ganis

It could be done if you applied the principles I invented for the Drakkara.
