Well ello ello!

I have looked at some of the levels on this server, they are not the best, however they do have potential. Their scripter is also not the best on GraalOnline. I think, however he is in the top 10 scripters, talented, but couldn't beat Kai, or myself. I think that what this guy is trying to say is that he is very excited because he has big plans, who doesn't? And he is trying to get the best of the best for a server containing the best of the best. However, give the server a chance, probably it will be very good, and I am excited to see the development in this project.

Thankyou Saga, thats exactly how I feel, very excited and yea, Kai owns our NAT, but that doesnt mean he aint good

Also to explain what happened with that 2 year old level is that the tile sets were changed from that time and now and I upgraded the tiling, so thats basicly what i meant. Also we really could use some good scripters and LAT's to help us out, I would appreciate it alot because we have alot of work to do, not so much LAT wise but with our NAT projects that will make us trademarked.

Just outa curiocity, how far up duz that cliff go? forever? and whats the deal with the cheesy grass, its got lumps on toppa the lumps? wtf? and that light almost blinded me, what is that a vortex? just a FEW things wrong there.

Little do you know I threw my level together in about 5 min, I build levels faster than all joo! =D jk, but yea 5min was around how long it took me, im a fast builder when my computer aint jacked up, which is ALL the time...GOD I HATE COMPAQ!

Agreed, but the only thing is, I'm not building that Island for myself, its for one of our administrators. Im building the coast and hes filling in the island with houses and the shrubbery and ****, so thats why There is nothing but cliffs, water and stuff in the water. Sorry if I made you all think that was my whole server or something.

I can't see the top of your cliff, either.

And that's a hill. The light is used to show foam at the bottom of waterfall.

It's a large basin of collected water on a cliff side, but it's hard to do perspective in a 2d world.

I can do better levels, when I'm motivated to do them.

Hmm, I though I'd made it clear a few weeks ago what I was doing

Those trees were given to me by Soul Blade who made them...I liked the shadow thing on 2k2 so I mimiced it

They say to mimic is to flatter

*edit* And Stefan has full knowledge of what I'm doing...I hope I can get my new overworld and things finished and it look nice enough to possibly get the special server that 2k2 uses

In a sense, yes, I'll have to have my new stuff re-evaluated if I want that special server

I <3 3D terrain...there is so much you can do with it...

Very carefully

Yeah it's huge....2048 levels (64*32). I like it though

The most difficult part is deciding what should go where and how it should look

So far, I've done up a small island that has a couple houses and several palm trees...and I've also started work on my kingdom and 2 small villages/towns. There's a small forest near the middle of the map that you follow a path though...it's fun to walk it with the box on and the neat music I have playing

*edit* .MOD in the zip...run it in ModPlug Player or Winamp to listen

Yea, I would love to see that whole goddamn map populated =D It looks real nice, just wish you would have made a different terrain other than 2k2's. Sure Its nice but sure as hell as redundant as ever. No LAT work is required to go into the levels =/

Redundant? What do you mean? It does all that it sets out to do, and the general technology is superior what with the GPS and all.

Redundant meaning it has no variance to it. The levels all consist of just grass, sand and water and maybe some trees, tell me that isnt redundant and I'll kill you! =D jk but seriously now.

Hmm, yes...the idiocy is strong with this one

You've never actually worked with 3D terrain...it's a lot different than the flat levels you make

I can be a little more creative as far as NPCs go...1 tree image and setshape2 can do wonders

Plus I can transform areas at will in the editor so I can make valleys and mountains very quickly...plus the pathgen is nice...the painful part is doing your own paths or touching up a path with tiles that match the rest of the surrounding tiles.

This map will be excellent for RPing on

by the way, shold I just stick to the interior right now?

Redundant means an excess of what is normal (from dictionary) meaning that his levels contain an excess of nothing but grass, sand, and water and occasionally trees. Where is the fun in that?

A redundant level would be one that consists of the exact same tiles with no change...such as 4 levels strung together that are nothing more than tile 0,0

3D terrains are not redundant or repetitive...it consists of varying heights and texture changes depending upon height of each vertex on the field...plain grass fields consist of several tiles which range from different grass to some small flowers and what not
