THE ULTIMATE SWORDSMEN TOURNAMENT
Originally Developed by: Greyheart IV and Coldflare The Swordsman
Judge (referee): Greyheart IV
Support by: Arkanis The Swordsman, Rune (W), Dexter and DarkCloud
SUBSCRIPTION RULES
All candidates must apply 10 days before the Tournament starting day. These candidates will then gather at the Dojo (after 5 days from the subscription deadline) in the Samurai Island to perform a qualification stage. The qualification stage will serve as an eliminatory phase before the actual Tournament.
In the end, there shall be no more than 20 participants split in two divisions: Alpha and Beta. The rules are described below and a judge will be present in all the fights.
Tournament days are still undecided.
SUPPORTING STAFF SUBSCRIPTION RULES
The supporting staff will be divided in two categories: security and competitors’ aids. All candidates interested should apply as soon as possible; the deadline is 15 days before the Tournament begins. All qualified candidates (with a valid account and character name) will be accepted and therefore assigned a task. There are no special privileges to the Tournament supporting staff (this is not a G2K2 staff position) except maybe for the chance to be an active part of the competition.
Qualification for this position will be granted by the Judge.
LOCATION, DATES and SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
In the small Samurai Island, the Ultimate Swordsmen Tournament will be run in Tems’u’Dojo. All competitors will receive a special place to rest and possibly prepare themselves. Supporting Aids will be made available to help the competitors with anything they might consider necessary (new swords, shields or bread*). The Dojo will be open to the general public while a security force will keep the spectators in a safe distance. Only the judge and Tournament competitors are allowed inside the carpet.
Exact dates are open for discussion but certain aspects of the Tournament calendar have been already decided. The competition will begin in a given Friday, with it’s second part being completed in the following day; the final stage will be fought Sunday between division Alpha and Beta’s champions.
Administration support from the G2K2 staff are still being studied but it would be of great value if the Tournament received such support.
*More information in the Rules section.
