giant robots, huge quest, actualy mayors of villages, owners of dungeons where customize everything and stuff, time travel, etc

I'm going to finish up ganis then I will be able to start integrating things into the game, and thats when things get good. Once at that point it shouldn't be to long before its ready to submit.

Shading, after I read that little tutorial and remember some art classes it came back to me that shadows should have other colors in it, and dark blue shadows look good with green.

The blue shading is what gives it that roundness, I'm telling you, it would look back without it. Maybe not bad, but not as good.

After thinking for a while about it, I have decided to rescript movement. It will allow for many, many things, and make lots of stuff much easier. It will be complicated to script, but will be worth it in the end.

Here it is, how there chracter is controled. I will show in 2 post, each with a screen.

Here in this screen, it shows you in the "traveling mode". You are in that most of the time. In this mode you can assign commands to D and S such as jump or magics or any other abilities you have. A or course is the action button so you can't assign commands to it. You cannot assign hostile moves to the travel mode. You would assign commands by hitting Q, go down to Assign, then selecting Travel mode. There you will be able to assign D and S.

This screen shows battle mode.

In battle mode you can use your hostile and healing abilities. To switch between Travel mode and Battle mode, you would hit and hold A, the press S. When in battle mode, the only button you can assign is D. A is to block with your shield, and S is to attack. You have more then one attack, and randomly will get critical attacks. Your shield will block you from all attacks except magis, but you can't switch directions while blocking, which means they can come up behind you and hit you. To block you press and hold A as long as you want to block, release A to stop blocking and regain control.

Heh, its kinda hard to explain perfectly, and may seem complicated. Trust me though, its very simple to operate when you actually play.

(Heh and yes, there are different idle and walking ganis, as well as attacking ganis, for different weapons. This will result in...alot of walking/idle ganis.....for those who were wondering )

ON A SIDE NOTE:

Soul Blade's an idiot :P I was on a music page, and dido was under alternative (doesn't like dido, only heard 2 of her songs) and I was all, "since when is dido alternative?"

...

and he thought I was looking at pornogrphic material.... lol.......

Yup everything is ours...and if I make a nice, efficient movement system we will have even more stuff. But my skills in script are weak in onwall stuff...so I don't know. But we will find other ways, it will be good...we almost have all the system NPCs (which are the treasure from Murasamune, what we been working on basicly, and the numerous tilesets). So, maybe 2 weeks we will be pretty far into levels (which means all system NPCs done) and thats when the fun begins. So I would honestly say, in a month, 2 at most, we will be ready to submit...still even then we will be UC (with or without the symbol, either way we have lots of work to do).

Really aesome the character looks good with armor from the side I think but the front looks like he's falling back :/
and I think the body needs black edges (aswell as the head) but otherwise that's an AWESOME lookign server..Hopefully you finish this time becaue I know I'll be playing there Are you also going to change the ASD button GFX,ap,etc? Like maybe evenm rescript a new system for AP and the buttons and such (maybe? :O) so they fit in?And what will the life system be like?Will it be the graal hearts or HP bars or what?

yeah, we got lotsa neato stuff, the whole ASD thing will be completely different.... (can't realease that info right now)....

about the black edges, soul blade doesn't like them, that's how his style is, so you won't be seeing them on mura... sorry man

Isn't it obvious that all that will be changed? But you see, I'm leaving the easy parts for last. That ASD thing and everything is very easy..but yes, we will change EVERYTHING.

As for the HP system, well thats what it is, the HP system. Haven't completely decided that part yet, but I have the stats and everything scripted. Just not the level up system...but I will see how I will do that. I'm thinking of maybe a bounty system, if a PKer kills many, then hes worth lots of experiance. Maybe at a certain building it shows everyone with the highest bounty on them, and maybe even a cash reward if you get the highest.

Then the monster system...will be very complicated. I can't work on it yet, because thats one thing I need the NPC server for...basicly, they will have there own stats. Gain levels, everything...they will even kill each other and stuff. Its kind of like the explanation of how those big boss monsters come around...once a monster gets strong enough, he would be like a mini boss, very ahrd to kill. And while trying to kill it, you may die, making it even stronger...the rewards would be great, though, alot of experiance and treasure.

As for the death system, basicly there will be save points throughout the whole server. When you "save", you get warped back to the save point when you die, and you loose experiance (maybe 1/4th, not sure yet). Also, when you reconnect, you get warped back to that save point. A way to stop people from cheating a many different way, and make it alot funner. There will be many save points though.

And while trying to kill it, you may die, making it even stronger...the rewards would be great, though, alot of experiance and treasure.

As for the death system, basicly there will be save points throughout the whole server. When you "save", you get warped back to the save point when you die, and you loose experiance (maybe 1/4th, not sure yet). Also, when you reconnect, you get warped back to that save point. A way to stop people from cheating a many different way, and make it alot funner. There will be many save points though.

Man that took a long time to read everything :o

But it was worth the 5 mins, i am a GFX newbie but i dont understand why you didn't use Darker green/black rather than blue/black

For a few reasons...one being that is what everyone sees as common.

two is, well, a natural shadow wouldn't be black, it wouldn't just shade over green. The blue gives it alot more..well roundness, and it gives it a nice unique effect. I for one really like it, then only thing which needs improvement is the treetrunk, but those are easy.
