Still not much of a difference, it's half of my average Era ping.

this is in the same state as seattle but i get almost double this lag on era and the jitter is more like 100ms rather than 1ms



moving to new york or anywhere on the east coast would help a LOT though

Their packet loss testing requires Java to be installed and Java applets to be enabled in your browser, which is normally not a good idea anymore. Your packet loss is almost certainly 0% anyway. Packet loss indicates a serious problem with your connection, and it's fairly rare.

I have 3% packet loss
But I'm on a RIM/DLC in a private estate, even though the nearest exchange is only 400 yards away. So I barely get 1/3 of the speed that I would get if I lived just outside of the estate on the other side of the RIM.

This is a serious issue and we are still waiting for Stefan to even acknowledge server problems. The server move has not only resulted in increased latency for almost everyone but has also come with crazy fits of seemingly random lag. We were just forced to cancel scheduled events because of some ridiculous server problems.

There have been no significant changes to Era's coding from what I can tell. We set up a script in-game to allow players to email you, Stefan, about the problem.

I would think they might be hard to ignore. I apologize in advance if you have to scroll.

The average latency on Era right now is 851 ms. Era's npcserver is using 224 MB of memory, which is normal (less than it used to be on the old server). The top NPC in /stats is using 0.08% CPU.

If the scripts are the problem, then please come help us debug it, Stefan.

Just got d/ced for the third time in 5 minutes when hitting quote on this.

Wtf? It's never been this bad.. even during server moves or restarts or backups, my ms is so high that it legitimately freezes at 1350 and doesn't update for like 3 minutes.

I don't know if that's why he's doing it, but yes, that's the cause of the lag.

That someone is Fogles aka Sauce aka the guy who hacked SlikRick and Nataxo's account, as well as defaced the Graalians website. He acts like anonymous but clearly he is not.

Business will resume as normal after unixmad deals with it or he gets bored of "teaching Graal a lesson".

Seriously though the server should get moved to New York, that would make a lot of kids happy in NA and EU.

Oh how I'm getting tired of seeing this page showing up pretty much every single click of the forums and requiring multiple refreshes before you actually get to see the page, only then to be faced with broken images/icons littered everywhere. I haven't noticed anyone else bringing this up yet. Is there any indication of what is being done to combat these issues anyway? Any indication at all that efforts are being put in somewhere, or are we to expect another "Fixed, sorry it took so long, bye" post in about 4 months time?

the problem is mostly the location of the server (dallas wasn't too good either) since 95% of people playing graal live in NA or EU. placing the server on the west coast would benefit the game if it had a large east-asian playerbase (which isn't the case)
so i advise stefan to advertise graal in cina, japan, thailand and all these other countries OR simply find a decent server on the East Coast or even Europe

Is that email u use ur Account binded email? I would try to change this. People might try to get access to ur account through this mail...Just saying
