Blood Raiders

Zeltino had mentioned something about Blood Raiders during a time of war being inevitable.
Anyone care to elaborate? Also, can anyone set a training schedule for lower level Pirates?

I haven't seen the blood raiders active since Atheal, Jalexia and Becan were around.

People in CP that had all the Phoenix gear that thought they were the **** during war/battles. Only Atheal was cool.

Yeah, the Blood Raiders (after it was adopted as an actual rank rather than just something Atheal and company did for fun) is supposed to be an elite group of foot soldiers. Really, they're supposed to be the main ground army of CP, since most of our resources dump into naval battle.

Thats not totally true. They are an elite group that specialise in almost everything, Land battle, naval warfare, everything. But they are mainly used as a land attack group.

I thought it would be pretty cool to revive the Blood Raiders. The rank has been dead for so long.

Well, I'm actually technicly in charge of the Blood Raiders after Becan left.

I had a hard time keeping it going...knowone with enough skill and strengh that could make it that wasn't already high ranked such as Commodore, or Mayor. So finding people qualified was hard.

It was sopposed to be an elite group...sort of a strike force. Using tactics like potions ( Fiery Destruction when they were good, damn you Stefan! ) Ship sabtage, ect.

It'd be glad to hand it over to one of you to take harge of.

And I'm sure my lack of activity hasn't helped.

True. I figured though, that if we recruit them into the Blood Raiders while they are level 40-50ish, then they can be trained as a Blood Raider from then on.

If you want to come take charge of the Blood Raiders, then I'd be more than welcome to let you! I just really want to see the Blood Raiders active again, probably in part of me always wanting to become one.

Also, could you PM me the training routines, requirements, etc. for being a Blood Raider so we can start training some mates?

I was going to join the Raiders, but then Alan made me an architect and started inventing ranks for me. Alas, I have failed the pirates since that time.

I know someone who wished to become a Blood Raider, but he's left us for Dustari now so It doesnt matter.

Ha ha. Let's set a requirement:

Must be in CP to become a Blood Raider.

So it doesn't help him if he's in Dustari =P

I wouldnt mind having a hand in the Blood Raiders or being one. I know my current position might not allow me to become one. So I will at the least offer my assistance in training and recruitment.

It seems everyone lost the ideals for the Blood Raiders when I left GK back in 2005, but I am now playing again, and have revived the Blood Raider rank. The Blood Raiders never really let much information out about them for obvious reasons pertaining to the rank, but I'm looking to make the group active again

The problem with Blood Raider was the only people who were good enough to be a Blood Raider were already Commodore/Commander/Admiral ect. A rank far high then Blood Raider.
