if they really wanted to lure players into the PC client they could release optional side quests that can only be completed on the PC client.

Still waiting for new PC client.

the day pc players are able to log onto the iPhone Classic server, is the final nail in the coffin of the actual Classic server.

i could see UN getting decimated by it too.

Not true. You can talk to people on the iPhone server, and you can't do that on the regular classic server!

the large amount of players to interact with is some of the best content this game as a whole can offer

I consider that a problem, though.

I would. Anyways I'm sure progressive updates will come as they have already been doing. The point is that iphone graal would dominate any graal server

While a 500 playercount is impressive and all that, and certainly cool to brag about... is it really worth the strain on the server and players? How would something like having dual servers work out? 250 players on each server, with synchronized data(your account data is shared between them, so you don't lose progress between the two servers). I mean, seriously... is 250 players REALLY that different than 500, in the grand scheme of things? It's still a crap load of players, more than enough to establish a fun community with. Such a set-up could probably help with a lot of the lag and such that the servers might be handling processing all that data.

I mean, if the servers can handle the 500 playercount find then by all means dismiss this. I have no interest to splitting a server that is having no lag problems.

With everything so community-based, since there's no real content, players might piss themselves crying.

That's the thing though, 250 is still way more than enough to have an established community. This is something done in just about every other MMO out there to lessen the server loads. To ease the pain, could have the 'server list' show how many of your friends are connected to each server.

Server 1 <--> Server 2 (Communicates with each other and syncs data)

250 Players -> Server 1 -> Synchronizes to -> Server 2
250 Players -> Server 2 -> Synchronizes to -> Server 1

And in the end, this is completely pointless. I don't think 500 players is that many players.

500+ players is quite a few, especially for servers like Era or Zodiac which have lots of serverside scripts dealing with PKing and such as opposed to using default systems.

Ya, there'd still be 500 players, but the load would be widely distributed between two servers, thus less stress on the individual servers. In no way is 250 players the same as 500 players. Like I said though, I guess it depends on how well the server can actually handle these players.

I doubt people really know the difference. I'm sure Classic is new to most of these people.

If you meant adding another server, I doubt it would attract more people. It might be better at keeping people than the Classic iPhone server is if it was executed properly.

I've been logging on here and there while at work or in bed and it seems interesting and rejuvenating to actually see players involved in the community rather then rambling and babbling about how good it used to be.

All though the median age is most likely around 11, and everyone is a god damn knight of the brotherhood or pizza delivery guy its neat to just go chat it up. I am looking forward to some events and stuff.

Who remembers burning down the building that used to stand where the spar arena is, oh I do!

I found on Itunes then I started playing again on Iphone.. My screen 636 players online X.x

Its sad that iphone takes too much time to type the text and chat.. but its a really nice version of graal.

Whoops!! I've been following statistics.graal, and since it updates every X amount of time, it probably didn't receive that info.

My bad, I'll have to check the log itself from now on.

(The point is, it's breaking 600!!)
