Question Events/Event Coins/Prices

I logged on today to find that Tig hosted off quite a strew of really rare items that will go for crazy, redicilous prices in this jacked up GK economy.. If rare items are being evented off, it should be announced so that its fair and equal to all players to be there during that event.

Anyways, the prices are through the roof for anything nowadays. Its probably considering the fact Enchant Armours have sky rocketed in price, making every +12 item be a pretty penny.

d=Diamond: 500+ plat

HSoD+12=100d
Marks+12=100d
Luckies+12=80-100d
CoMP+12=100d
Ring of War=500d
Ring of Strife=100d
Speed Amulet=250d

etc.. etc.. Those were the basic prices and were for a while.

What happened? Why is everyone trying to gouge people to get a little bit richer? Im confused as to whats causing this.
On top of these issues that underly, I feel that any item obtained through Event Coins you can trade back for the same amount of Event Coins that you paid. So that way there arnt as many items, in circulation, but more Event Coins to get the items people really want. And so the price isnt 50d for an Event Coin anymore. Unless this rarity is intended?

Just some thoughts and ideas. Anyone feel the same?

Craigus will become famous soon enough
Main reason for these price increases is that diamonds are falling in value fast because they have no use beyond prepping your weapons. RoW price is a different story and only ever fell that low because of a unfortunate event and has been slowly clawing it's way back up to it's old value since and is still going.

Erm, Tig hosted rares off? Good rares? When was this?! And what were they...

Economy is in a state of termoil because GK has had it's IQ sapped by two worldly forces. Real Life and WoW

Any "healthy" economy experiences inflation. We're currently devising a plan to fix this problem though, especially for newer users.

The reason the economy is "bad" for most newer players is because they're lazy as hell.
If you want a brutal the BEST way to go about getting one is to find it yourself. They can even take advantage of the ridiculous prices to support their own needs.

Twas obviously done by fate, considering Romain won what many would think of as a "Grand Prize" yet I was on Utopia working on a Gmap when I saw him login. I logged on solely to say hi to him (and kale so he shhs) because I hadn't seen him on in a while. Boom bang, I wasn't even paying attention to know the prize, I just saw the number "67" off the side of my MSN window and was like "woo I win!"

Boom.. Selling Sammies plox.

Some events will be announced, and some are spontaneous. It is, essentially, rewarding those who are on GK the most because they will be around for most of those events.

Honestly, I solely think you're angry because you missed out last night. What was stated has a few points, but I still think this thread is more to point out your anger. There wouldn't be any other reason to do it now (start this thread that is) when you've been playing perfectly fine up til today when you heard "rares" were raffled off.

Then again, I can't complain much, I won something. Tig's raffles are like an explosion of awesome items if you haven't noticed in the past. I always notify close friends if I remember.

Best part about tig-raffles, he does item requests. He looks to the crowd to see what there needs to be more of in gk, if a lot of people say the same thing, he sees need for that item and adds more.

When the price of everything in terms of diamonds goes up, that's not people gouging. That's diamonds not being worth as much as they used to be.
