This has been requested before, but I can't find it. When you call something like

player.echo("test");

it echoes to RC only for them (if that player is an RC)

Been asked for so many times. Would be great for setting up a sort of notification system for RC's on logon.

This. I don't want to spam the RC chat everytime somebody logs on :/ I'm currently sending pms to new RCs.

Would be cool if you could also set that the staff that's updating a script receives the error messages.

No. Anything script-updating related should always be displayed to all NC-Connected staff. Either way, that is not the topic. The topic is TServerPlayer.echo(), and technically you can't actually echo internal system (Scripting) errors in the first place unless they're fake uses of the echo() function, so on-topic:

player.echo(), requested many times and desperately necessary.

This would be really nice to have...

(And about the nc updating notifications...that seems like it should be an rc option. You should be able to decide if you want to see all the "So and so updated this script". Because not everyone wants to be spammed when their on rc)

More of being able to specifically echo something to a specific player's RC.

For example, if there are 10 RC's connected, and John connects... maybe I'd like to echo on John's RC that he has a lot of work to do! But I'd like to do this without bothering anyone else on RC.

It would especially be useful when debugging a script, so you're not spamming everyone else's NC.

I have yet to see a good excuse--even from Stefan--about why this shouldn't be included. The only good reason would be a technical limitation, and if that is the case it needs to be fixed.
