New Manager

Effective tonight, I am resigning as Manager of Era (and staff there altogether) for personal reasons. This is my last post as Manager and it’s just to inform everyone of the change. To those wondering, this is not a spur of the moment decision on my part. I knew this was coming a couple months back and began to make preparations for it. Although only a couple people were made aware.

It is still my job to ensure what is best for Era, so despite the differences in the past between me and Sales, I have chosen to appoint him as Manager in my place. He is a talented Dev and pretty motivated so I think this will be an easy transition for both him and for Era.

Anyways, so long everyone. It’s been fun…..kind of.

Someones development skills shouldn't arbitrate no more than a small fraction of why this person should be good for manager. Or it shouldn't arbitrate anything at all.

Regardless, I don't know Sales, nor any of his managerial quality skills, but good luck to him.

Sad to see you go Deo. Your a legacy in my books. Kudos on picking someone as qualified as Sales as Manager. I think this is the best for Era. Finally a Manager whos understanding and can actually develop. I'm looking forward to the new updates and changes that will come among us Erians.

Seriously, why does Squirt and cbk care about something that isn't a lie, if its bad to spread lies why doesn't deophite state a reason as to why he quit other then "I felt like it" maybe the real reason should be stated?

"I felt like it" is nowhere in my post. So why are you pretending it is? I said it was "personal". Facts are I have a life outside of graal and there are other things I need to focus on at the present time.

Good thing he's very experienced in Era and has great ideas and directions for the server to go then, yeah?

@ Deo: I already said it in another post, but you had an especially difficult task as manager while you served. Everyone's constant criticism and "UN NOOB" ****, plus the fact that you pretty much had to rebuild the staff team from nothing. Great job. You've got my respect. Good luck in life. And excellent choice in your replacement.

@ Sales: Congrats. You were the best pick out of the team, in my opinion. I've got great hopes for the future of Era now.

At xnerv dunno if you were being serious or not but sales is an old era player who was a high admin on era quit for some reasons then came back, from what I understand Houdini was concidering him for manager at one point

Congrats to sales you should have always had it.

(To clear up some misunderstandings Gabrial told me that deophite was considering quitting for quite some time(after deophite quit)and did not say that deophite was fired, that is all he told me.)

I'd like to thank Deo for managing under some of the worst of circumstances yet still holding his ground. His work there to move the staff into a more positive direction than the past has been much appreciated. I also appreciate the fact that even though he told me a couple months ago of his need to resign he stuck around long enough to find a suitable replacement. He feels that Sales is the best qualified to not only keep the staff structure working towards a better Era but will keep development going in a positive direction.

No server will ever be perfect, there will always be someone that decides he can get away with a bit of corruption. I'm confident though that Sales along with his staff will do their best to keep it under control. Thank you again Deo and Congratulations Sales on your new position.

To Ocelot: You'll have to get me fired before I accept you as a manager of Era. I respect your talent but your people skills suck.

That type of personality tends to lead to corruption, poor player relation services, and many other troubles that plague servers.

Also, if you can't even respect a global enough to not give them "****", how would you even be able to work with any staff you'd actually control? Lol
