"Beauty" contest ideas.

Since a big feature of Halloween is dressing up, I've got a bunch of contests in mind. I've got several ideas and I want to know what people would think of them, or perhaps using all of them and using the average score from each to determine who wins the prize.

The first idea is an ugly contest. You try to look ugly, gaudy, and lousy enough to make mirrors break and eyes bleed.

Second idea is a badass contest. Grab your gear and try to look like the tough cookie you are, either warrior of light or dark. Please don't go neutral unless you know how to pull it off in style. However, given the unfairness and access to higher level gear, there would be a yet undecided penalty for using hard to get or event items [translation: John is beatable.]

Third idea is a crossdressing contest: Girl heads on guy bodies, and guy heads on girl bodies. It looks oh so wrong and that's what makes it oh so fun. I want to see awkwardness people! Awkwardness! .... And cringing isn't so bad either.

Autumn colors event. This is similar to the traditional beauty contest except its open to both genders and has a different definition for the word "beauty". Autumn colors are the reds, oranges, yellows, and browns. The warm fuzzy colors. You basically try to dress up and look aesthetically pleasing to the eyes of the judges and the rest of the world. Here's the hard part. It's being held outside... with the lights option engaged. Meaning you're going to have to match your colors with the "Halloween Hue". Falling leaves too.


Special Rules:

Can't really think of any yet right now, although I am SURE there will be PLENTY as people find loopholes and ways to worm around stuff. Oh, there is one rule. Since I want to see the best that people can come up with, I am not disallowing things such as alchemy items, event items, the Halloween Glow, or even card effects. BUT these are unfair to people who don't have them. So there will be penalties to your final score for using them. Big penalties too. If you want, you can even turn some off for the actual contest and then run around bomb later with the full effect.

I'm going to be holding the Autumn Colors Contest and Crossdressing Contest Thursday evening, the 30th. On Halloween I'm not sure when to do it because of all the plans there may or may not be, both in graal, and in real life.

I am hoping to have the ugly and badass contests that night however I'd like them to go quickly and smoothly. I know its not possibly the best thing to rush but there's so much more to do irl and in game that I don't want the contests taking up the whoooole night.

There will be a limited number of judges, most of which will hopefully be EM's and of course, Tig.

Please... start getting ready now if you're interested. Thursday evening will most likely be at about 6-7 EST time, and Halloween night will be 5-8 EST unless there's other event conflicts. I can't speak for other continents but for America, it should be a block of time in the late afternoon, hopefully after school and normal work hours, but before the trick or treaters come out to play. I expect the events will run later, and will have to occur near the end of the block, but prepare yourselves ahead of time, and try not to have too much fun during the actual judging. Then you can do all the partying you want.

Specific Rules.

Autumn Colors must be just that, Autumn Colors. Oranges, Browns, Reds, Yellows, Black, maybe some purplish Red. Vivid, intense, fiery, and the hard part, the contest will be held outside. I expect the judges to have their lights option turned on, so a challenging part of the attire will be having it match the Graaloween Light that I like so much. I request you leave out the grays and whites for this one since they won't fit as well into the theme.

For the crossdressing challenge, guy heads on girl bodies, and girl heads on guy bodies. I think this is fun because it's supposed to be awkward and uncomfortable. The wrongness of the whole thing is a good plus too. No other rules, or guidelines, or themes. Just look as screwed up as you can.

People are so busy with those zombies though
